First topic message reminder :

And would you recommend one?
Veeeeeeerrrryyyy tempted even though pennies are short - washing up is driving me nuts and feels like such a chore and waste of time - takes a chunk out of our days / evenings - which will be even more precious once 2nd bub arrives!
BUT - are they expensive to run, do you need hot and cold feed, are they a pain to load / unload... ?? xx

Thanks ladies... I now REALLY want one Rolling Eyes Laughing

The counter-top one sounds really interesting happydiee... would take up less space, wonder if you can just hook it to the tap when using? Or put a splitter on the cold feed to the washing maching? Having a look though from new they are still quite expensive so going to browse ebay.

It would save a lot of hassle having one of those though - as otherwise we'd have to move the washer drier out to the (freezing) conservatory and try to plumb that in there somehow scratch

Jen I'm pretty sure most uk ones are cold-feed only, from reading up on a couple. More browsing to be done though! xx

We have an integrated one and when we first moved here last year I used it because it was a novelty but I started to realise that the time spent rinsing and loading, unloading and putting away etc I could probably wash up quicker. I have to wash all the big pans and trays etc anyway so might as well do the lot. It takes ages to run and if one plate or something large isn't positioned right and catches on the spinny thing it doesn't wash properly and needs restacking and rerunning Mad. I also cannot stand cleaning out the filter Do you have a dishwasher? - Page 2 981624 and find the smell of warm dishwasher Do you have a dishwasher? - Page 2 981624 too. I am very particular about my washing up Embarassed and the dishwasher just could not keep up with my standards Laughing. Also trying to unload and load with a crawler/toddler around is a nightmare and the sink is out of reach of little arms so needless to say I dont use it anymore apart from the odd occasion when we have visitors.

I know a lot of people love them though, I just have OCD issues with washing pots Embarassed Laughing

xx

^^^^^^^^^^^^ I agree with everything said here^^^^^^^^^^^

Our's is and intergrated one, Baumatic one..and at 1st I loved the novelty but as Debs said, by the time you've actually rinsed, sorted it all etc you may have just washed up yourself. And then the unloading of it all, and plastic's never dry properly Mad

I'm rather particular too Embarassed
