After only 4 or so hours sleep I was sorely tempted to just stay at home with Elijah, but instead we walking through the p*ssing rain and had a really great time at baby massage - not only did we finally meet a certain forum member and her daughter, but there were only 4 of us so we really got to take our time and have a lovely chat....

It was my first experience of meeting other mummies in my role as a mummy and I'm so so pleased I went *and* I managed to bf there - got another 2 coming up and then it's yogalates....I'm not sure why I'm posting this here but I'm so pleased and chuffed with myself

it was really nice, I hope I can find some other stuff to do - I think it helped Elijah to stay awake and sleep a bit better that night too, he was fascinated by the little 6 week old boy next to us and barely even looked at mummy

i think its really nice for them to socialise with other babies, it took me a while to find a good group but now i dont miss a week, plus i join all the courses too. is there not a bf support group near you as well?

I found one on Friday afternoons (I think), its a bit of a walk and I haven't braved it yet - for some reason I have a vision of 100 ladies all sitting there with their boobs out unlikely I know... also it's upstairs and I'm scared of lifts! Funny the things that put you off. It's on my list of things to try though, I'm excited about mummy and baby yogalates too

lol ! i was terrified when i first went i thought it would be full of dippy hippies plaiting their armpit hair! the one i found is lovely and everyones up for a laugh, not many boobs to be seen either!

Oh that's a relief, I don't own any cheesecloth skirts or anything I will get there I expect, just one thing at a time

Aww, Thats great Mari I think once you've cracked that first one, it makes it much easier to attend other/different groups.

I was so lucky with mine as it too was a small group so it does give you chance to get to know everyone easier. I have made some lovely lovely friends and we see each other every other day and do coffee's, outings all sorts..I finally have a life

I hope you enjoy all the other groups too. Are you gunna give the 'churchy' ones a go?? you really should (they really don't come across all religeousy at all, its more to do with just using the building itself)

hahaha oh hmm you can probably guess I might give in and go to a churchy one - the one down the road I looked at their website and it definitely *is* churchy, but I remember one of our health visitors mentioning another one so I will ask him next week (I was busy being stressed about injections at the time!)
