What a crappy weekend I'm having, My boss rang me Friday to say that the lady who works in Watford Hospital wasn't going in Saturday as she was ill and as she was covering the other lady who works there holiday there wasn't anyone to go in, would I mind covering and she'd pay me overtime. So I agreed, it's 45 mins to an hour drive from me normally so I set off around 8.30 yesterday, the traffic was quite bad as the roads were icy, so I got there about 10.15 in the end. I walked in the hospital and there stood in front of me was the lady who was supposed to be on holiday. I asked her what she was doing there and she said, I'm back off holiday today!!! She said xxx (my boss) knew she was back! Grrr. By this point the snow had really started to chuck it down, so I wasn't particularly happy that I'd gone there when I didn't have to. Anyway I headed home and got a phone call on the way back saying Matt's uncle who was flying back home to Canada was stuck at Heathrow as the flights had been cancelled and there were no taxi's or trains, so I offered to stop and pick him up and bring him back as I was going that way anyway. Well that was a mistake!

Obviously everyone else who couldn't fly out was leaving the airport too, so anyway 5 hours after arriving at Heathrow I got home (normally a 20 minute drive)!!!

Started feeling a bit ropy last night and I have flu, I had a little sleep and woke up with a temp of 38.5, a raging headache, aching limbs, cough and shivers, so went to bed. I got up to go to the loo last night and fainted in the hallway banging my arm, leg and face on the way down so am bruised and battered too and I have a wedding cake to be delivered today. Fortunately I finished it Friday, and Matt has set off to deliver it for me now as I'm just too ill.

Sad
