Why does the house have to be spotless for xmas? Why??? Its going to be a fecking tip by 9am xmas day anyway, with paper, plastic bits, toys and sweet wrappers all over living room... The kitchen by afternoon will be covered in dirty pots/pans... bin over flowing... food thrown by Caitlin stuck to the walls, mashed into floor, and smeared into table... , the bathroom will be dirty and left with clothes scattered as we rush to get ready xmas morning and get over to my auntys for 10am, my bedroom will probably be cluttered in clothes and make up as I get ready in a rush.... Why do we botherdoing the big clean? Someone tell me???
Last night I was machine washing door mats & hall runners at 1am. (Btw dont put a hard bristly mat in washing machine, it goes all ruckled & mishapen!) I shampooed my rug last week and am giving it a 2nd go tonight. I also need to clean the oven, deep clean bathroom, change beds, wash skirting boards, wipe out fridge,microwave...
I need to dust, hoover and mop again but want to leave that until tomorrow night/fri morning so house is spotless for FIL & SMIL coming on xmas eve. Its also the law that all the washing is up do date by xmas eve and put away....
I actually dont know why im stressing so much about getting the house immaculate. The only people visiting is FIL & SMIL on fri afternoon for an hr. We visiting the rest of family in their homes.
Does anybody else go a bit potty when it comes to the 'big christmas clean'? I also waste far to much time writing out lists of what I need to do rather than flipping doing anything.
Eurgh, why do I bother! Im so tempted to just squirt a bit of polish into the air and declare job done!
