Do men honestly think that being with a toddler all day is a piece of piss ??? As you ladies know, its hard *$%£ work. You cant have 5 mins to yourself, you're constantly tidying up, cleaning poo, dinner mess, trying to discipline, entertain them and in my case having a psycho springer spaniel dog round my feet all day as well (OH's dog btw). As soon as OH comes in from work, Cerys goes all ga-ga and giggly and he REALLY doesnt seem to understand why the feck I'm stressed, tired and about to blow a gasket. I especially hate the way, that he thinks he can try better ways of doing things (like discipline) when I've already tried everything with no success. I feel bad then, because I dont always have the energy to play with Cerys and he walks in like he's super feckin dad

we dont have this cos Dan is at home all day working and hears/sees everything, so he knows exactly what I do in the day - which is why at 5.30/6 he often does her tea and plays a while so I can get some housework done (and check on here pmsl)

Even when they do help with tidying etc it is never done to the right standard x

Lucky you Lisa Karl is a fab Dad but he just thinks that toddlers are for playing with. Yes Nikki, he doesnt do things the way I do them and takes twice as long to do anything x

I'm totally with you on this one, it's sooo hard and it's from the minute she wakes until she goes to bed. My oh only gets home in time for an hour with ellie, by which time she's had her dinner and is bathed and what really annoys me is that if I even mention how hard it is he says well you're the one who wanted to only back back to work part time so you could be at home with her!!!! Aaaarrrrggghh he just doesn't get it!

mines the same, he's out to work befor ava's up and just gets home for her bedtime, i've had an awful week this week what with her and the dog but he seems to think i'm over exaggerating. Today the one day he has off before chrimbo goes and gets his tattoo worked on for 4 hours, as if i haven't got things do grrrrr.........

We have that situation too. Matt is away mon at 5am, and gets home friday afternoon and obviously Immi is excited to see him so she's all laughs, smiles and cuddles, he doesn't see much of the little temper tantrum throwing girl I see all week.
When my Nanna died I went to stay with my Grandad for 4days and Matt had Immi, I think then he realised how much work she is (although he wouldn't admit it). x

My oh finally admitted how hard it was when he had two weeks off when I had Lily. He always used to say he would love to be a SAHD but after a week was praising me no end and said he would never do it.

well come january 5th, mine will be looking after ava for 2 days a week, i think he's in for a wake up call, longest he's had her is 2hours when i was at the hairdressers and she was asleep the whole time.

Lol neil and i had a row about this very thing last night. Had been running around after c all day as well as cleaning the house and hips were hurting and i asked him to cook dinner and got moaned at cos he had been 'working'. Lets say the air in my kitchen turned blue and im not usually one for swearing at him like a fishwife but i sounded like a terminally pissed off tourettes victim. He freely admits when he has c he is incapable of getting anything done bar seeing to her

well i was away todya at my xmas dinner with work and gav watched alfie for a few hrs and tonight after he went to bed he said |"phew im knackered" -i asked him if he understand wat its like now and he said yeh lol!!


hes off for 2 weeks now so im gonna make sure he makes the most of his days with him!

mine has just peed me off too, ive had to rearrange the furniture to keep ava contained more and have less tumbles and he's complaining that i've blocked the surround sound off so it doesn't sound as good.

I pointed out to him he cant even put the washing on when hes watching her. He did back down once he got overthe pissy that was caused by me cussing him out and telling him to go f*** himself. And when he got home tonight he commented how tidy the house was and usually he wudnt even notice so i think hes being extra nice to his hormonal wife lol

I used to have this until I went away on a work conference for 4 days and left Dan with Lily on his own. He was VERY happy that I was back and since then has helped out a lot more

Went out today and because the snow was so thick it felt like a proper workout pushing the pram and I was knackered but I still got the line!
To be fair Dan did make dinner tonight x

My OH has been doing 3 or 4 hours overtime EVERY DAY!! so not home until 9 or 10pm, Milo doesn't nap and won't sleep unless I'm with him, (that's a whole different rant though) so I can'T even cook dinner if my OH isn't here. I'm still feeling rubbish with morning sickness, and exhausted after a day entertaining Milo. But still, no, work is more important.. *sobs*

Last night as I crawled into bed knackered at 2am after cooking dinner, cleaning up the kitchen etc, he said "I helped out! I tidied up the living room!" "Aww," thought I, then walked into that ^ in the morning.

My OH suffers from the can't do more than one thing at once too. He has to pull his weight though or I am rather unpleasant to live with.

We both work full time and have a cleaner for the worst of the housework. In the evenings I see to Wil and he walks the dogs, then I tidy up while he cooks. At weekends he goes off and does his own thing and Wil and I do stuff together mainly.
