Morning all,

Got a phone call from Mum yesterday to say my pram and car seat had arrived at the shop and was ready to be picked up...I got all excited and waited for Mum to ring me back once she had picked it up, she rang about an hour later saying that she had had a look through the boxes to make sure everything was there (I have told her I want to set the pram up) as there were only 2 boxes she thought it was a bit strange only to find that the chassis is missing ....I have the carry cot, the car seat but no bloody wheels. Mum rang the shop to let them know and it turns out that Silver Cross forgot to send the chassis and we are not sure when we are going to get it (the chassis is coming from Scotland..typical).

When I asked if the pram could be ordered for delivery in December my family said 'oohh that's too early'..and now look, nearly the end of December, crap weather and only half a bloody pram.

After my bleed a couple of weeks ago I've kinda go into panic mode and I feel that I need things to be ready just in case...and it's just not happening

Oh no!!!!! Thats terrible, you'd of thought the shop would have checked everything before ringing you

What a faff for you!!

Honestly though, you won't use the wheels for at least the first week I'd say - more depending how long you intend to stay in hospital for. You carry baby out of hospital, into the car - then out of the car and into the house. Then IF you venture out in the first fortnight or so it'll be the same again, in and out of the car - maybe a short walk from your front door but you can use baby carrier for that if needs be. Doesn't solve your wheel problem but just to reassure you!

Kick up a merry old stink though - vouchers or money back are called for methinks!! xx
