| Spent all of xmas day at my mum and step dad's and had a lovely day and drove to oxford nice and early yesterday to see neils parents so they got to spend all of boxing day with C.
My dad and step mum are meant to be over to see caelyn today and they live about 2 hours away by car and my dad drives like an old woman! Just rung to speak to my step bro to see what time they left and they are still there-setting off in ten mins apparently. So they wont get here til nearly 1 now and my dad will wanna leave by half three or 4 to get home before its late.
Is it wrong that irritates me. Caelyns his only grandchild and his 'xmas day' with her is rationed to maybe 3 hours during which he will moan i dont go to see HIM more - which maybe i should but i hate making c spend that much time in a car when hes got no ties and can just jump in whenever he likes and come here and he knows he can have a bed and stay over. Id even meet em half way if he wanted. He will also moan hes got no recent photos of her. Ive done him a 4gb disc of her up to 15 months only 2 months ago and he can always come and take some!!!
Sorry am i being unreasonable that its irritated me, i could have taken her out this morning if id realised instead of having my brains fried by beebies |

| It is way easier to him to pop in the car to make the effort to see you..several reasons..they have noone to pack up for..noone is pregnant and in pain..and they have nothing but time on their hands to spend enjoying their only grandchild. If he moans..time for you to start moaning about your issues! xxx |

| Not being unreasonable. I'd be annoyed too. In fact my Grandad was late round to my Dads (we were staying there over Christmas) so at this point Immi had waited 3hours to open her presents, then as soon as she started opening them he went "oh i better go ring my other little princess" and went off to call my cousin. Fine if wanted to call my cousins but did he need to do it when Imogen was finally allowed to open her presents. After that he left to walk the dog, came back for dinner, then left again. I was very annoyed. |

| Dont even start me on families and when they see the kids!
My brother (the one who lives 5 miles away) hasnt even seen Lily and has only seen Aimee twice. The first time I took her there, she had just been through her major surgery and he FELL ASLEEP!!!
I get on great with my SIL and take Aimee to see my niece (who is a year older than Aimee) quite a bit.
Sorry to hijack!

| His loss hun. Next time he is coming over let him fit around you rather than hang around all morning waiting for him.
On a personal note - we haven't seen, or have any plans to see any of OH's family at all over Christmas. FIL is 1.5 hours away, MIL and SIL 2.5 hours, BIL 4 hours. BIL's wife is really ill so I understand the no presents or cards but SIL we just haven't heard from despite sending her kids (12 & 9) money. |

| Charming jade. I suppose i cant fault dad when he is actually here for giving c his full attention its getting him to see her. He was always same with me though. When i lived in germany for 7 years and used to only be able to fly to see him once or twice a year cos it was all my parents cud afford he only used to ring me like once a month so its par for the course. Funny thing is these days if im in a bind i only ever go to my mum and when neil and i have been stuck financially before now and my mum wasnt able to help we even went to neils mum, i wudnt have dreamed of asking him for help id have starved 1st. Guess it has long term effects and i think its sad if c ends up feeling the same about her granddad cos she will work out one day which of her grandparents are always there for her |

| well C won't miss out as she has plenty of other people around her who love her and who make the effort. it'll only be your Dad that misses out and if he cant be bothered then its his loss! x |
