my friends 16yr old daughter is expecting she was due last tuesday but still not had her yet, my friends bought loads 4 her she found out she's having a girl and my friend has been telling me about wot theyve bought sarah louise outfits, in pink (dont know if i got the name right, personally ive never heard of this make) but they r supposed to be like £75 + for 1 little outfit and theyve bought 3-4 outfits, thats £300, the push chair was about £500, plus they got another for there own house but they r now moving back home to live with my friend, it sounds like shes bought about 20 vests n 20 baby grows in both size 0-3m and 3-6 m, my friend is not really a bragger if u know wot i mean i think she is just exited about her 1st grand child but i think shes gone a bit ott, the father also has had the babies name tattooed on him (b4 shes born) anyway the thing is i think it'd be really funny if they had got the sex of the baby wrong

mmm I think there's nothing wrong with them spending all that money if that's what they wanna do... everyone buys stuff in blue or pink (if they know the sex) before it's born so I dont see anything wrong with that either.

getting the name tattooed I think is a bit odd and yeah I do think it's a little bit bitchy to think it'd be funny if they got the sex wrong.

Alice has a dress from sarah louise (we didnt buy it) they are stupidly expensive and she has only worn it twice so to me she could have had half a new season wardrobe for what it cost!

i see nothing wrong with spending the money if you've got it but bragging about it is a bit vulgar, why do you need to tell anyone how much something costs.

you obviously dont really hope that the sex will be wrong. its just a bitchy thought because they have obv went to extremes getting tattoos and whatnot.

I knew from six weeks that if hannah was a girl that would be her name but on the day she was born I was also considering the name emma so whos to say they wont change name at last minute?

See were having a girl and we have gone mad on pink, but at the same time we have also been told by 3 different sonographers and the last one was the same lady that told us girl at just 14 weeks. We haven't kept receipts and we have also started to do her room now in cream and pink.

At the end if the day I guess what I'm trying to get across is although I personally would never spend that amount of money on clothes, if they want to then that's upto them.

I do think him getting a name tattooed on him before she's born is a bit silly though!

I don't think the issue is about spending money on our unborn babies (I know I went a bit mad and I didnt know what I was having) its more to do with the boasting and bragging about how much things costs and which makes things are grates on people a bit!
