Write/type in such a way you can almost hear them and grimace

If you read such statuses or posts do you also quit midway and find a new post to read! It drives me insane I'm from Essex, home of crap speak/accent and would never dream of typing/speaking such crap..

i'm not a fan of text speak, sometimes I read statuses and i haven't got a clue what people are on about.

Lol someone sent me YW the other week in a text and I hadn't a flipping clue what they were on about. I must be getting old, took me ages to get to grips with PMSL, ROFL and all that

i do it i only do it a little though i miss (g) off the end alot like id say im goin shoppin but i tend to talk like that too i never pronounce it with the g on i dont understand some of them my cousin had to tell me wot lol meant obviously i then guest pmsl and others thats something else i do too i put n instead of and but i say n sometimes too e.g. i had me hair cut n it cost me £20 lol

i sometimes use " n" instead of and or i miss the g off words too like shoppin'. i also sometimes say luv instead of "love". nothing too annoyng i dont think?

Nah thats not annoying, I dont really notice if people miss letters off the end or use 'u' and 'n' b...its the words that get spelt completely wrong that annoy me lol

sorry but just though id say my phone does actually spell it without the g on and i talk like that thats why i do it really i type it has i say it

Yes! We can all laugh about it I and hate it BUT am guilty of doing it! But my worry is that our los will actually write like that and it may be the norm by then. Language evolves and changes all the time and it's becoming acceptable to write/email in text language.

My daughter is 20 and is well educated and socialised but leaves me notes which I can't understand. (ok I know I'm old hehe).

Jeez Penny you aint old..in a few weeks I'm only 12 years behind you...that's not much at all in the grand scheme of things (its only loads when you are kids lol)!

i miss the g off word all the time its turning into a really bad habit!!
and i use n instead of and but thats bout it (oh and i miss the a off about haha)

Im not keen on text speak though i occasionally use it if im in chat but not for emails statuses posts etc, how hard is it to simply type in english
