the day your 'BABY' decides they no longer need you ....
mine has come far too soon at the tender age of 9 months from the minute hes out of his cot he wants to be put down and free to roam! as we speak hes the other side of the room stood / squatting peeking into his play tent deciding which toys to empty all over the floor next! thought i had alittle longer but i guess mr independant doesnt need poor old me now haha x

I give it an hour and he will be crying for your attention

independance is a great thing though you should be proud

Yeah i agree.you should be so proud of him tams.your a great mummy and have obv done a great job in encouraging him to be independent.alfie still likes to be on my knee quite alot altho doesn't kle cuddles.i think he just uses me so he can get a higher view round the room ha x x

no hes been like this for almost a week but yesterday and today he completely bombed me off... and your right it is great it just makes you broody seeing how they no longer need you as such but i am very proud x

know how u feel hun lacey refuses me to spoon feed her anymore has done for a month n half now only get cuddles if shes poorly i cant wait to see her walkin but then u sit n think thats another string pulled away from u n them coz they dont need you to move to to some where they grow up so quick

i was going to put on a post identical to this! ava has always been really clingy but in the past few weeks has developed so much from crawling to crusing, into everything, only wants a cuddle at bedtime. I just look at her and think where has the time gone, very proud of her though.

hes all over the place its lovely to see though isnt it! makes you feel so blessed x

i pray for the day i get a bit of independence from my lazybot haha he wont sit/lie by himself...he HAS to have a bottle and a cuddle to go to sleep (even if he has just drank 9oz of bottle...if hes going to sleep he'll want more lol!!) nee wonder hes 17lbs 4 oz!!!! lol xx
and btw lil louis will always need you...you're a fab mummy and even tho he's growing up and doing big boy things...he'll always be ur ickle baby boy and he'll always need you xx

aww thanks hun ! I know he will just makes you think seeing all these newborns on the tele and how vulnerable they are and then looking over at mr independent haha x

Izzy has never been a needy baby - always an independent little monkey!
Now as a toddler she wonders off when we are out to go nosying and doesnt look back to where mummy is!

I like it cos she isn't ever scared to go on her own and play etc but I kinda wish she was a bit more needy sometimes!

i totally understand both your points! when theyre needy its so tiring but when theyre independent you find it being you whos the needy 1! x

hahah yup I feel so needy when I grab her and squeeze her and she is like get off you crazy baby eating woman!

I always get a lovely cuddle last thing at night and first thing in the morning, other than that no chance, i was starting to think she was going off me!

I get a cuddle when she has hurt herself or is scared of something, like on Boxing Day this old bint that she hates looked at her at my nan's and she clung to me like a clingon.

She gives proper cuddles and kisses sometimes, but not enough!

I never said never as such, but in my head I thought it - but when asked rather than have to explain myself I'd say in a few years..or when im 35...and the age kept getting older truthfully though before I got PG i never thought of myself as a mum

im like Jo. I only get a cuddle in the morning in bed and on a night when hes tired. The rest of the time he pushes me off!!!

I find it hard sometimes how big he is getting - hes not my little baby no more!! x

I have very independant lil boy too x I never get hugs unles she falls n hurts hiself, hes poorly or hes really tired thats it x He wont let me sit n play with him he moves away frm me lol its nice at times but sometimes i just wish he would come up and sit with me and watch tv for 10mins but no lol x
