A lady I knew from another forum, she never really participated but I added her on FB..her oldest daughter died in November aged 8, she'd been bedridden for a long time, she had a white matter brain disease (not sure of exact description)

Her LO is 20 months, a bit less than Izzy, and when I spoke to her last which was a while ago I thought her LO was ok...turns out she has the same brain disease and cant do anything, looks really small and frail.

They live in Pakistan and her family are quite matter of fact about it all, so she is getting no real emotional support, they think she should just move on...but to what? Suffer the same long battle to the same sad end again?

Im just so lost for words that this happens :-(

That is so terrible. Poor woman. No mother should lose a child, I think it's the most heart breaking thing in the world x

Oh no that's just devestating That poor poor family, I can't imagine their pain.

I have an IRL friend who lost one of her little boys to a degenerative brain disease. I think he was diagnosed at 5 years old and lost him within 2 years. Absolutely heartbreaking
