the dreaded return to work, i think i'll be a blubbering mess when i have to say bye to ava in the car, we've never been apart for more than 3 hours and she's still poorly
God knows what davids going to do when i'm away she'll probably be sat watching him play xbox all day and eating chip butties for dinner!

ah i know how u feel. im back next monday after a yr off and im having to put alfie into nursery :-( proper dreading it!!

It will be easier than you think. Try and think of some of the positives like:
Your OH will realise how much work you have been doing with Ava!
You will get to be 'you' again rather than mummy
You can have hot food and drinks in peace and whilst they are still hot!

Seriously though i am sure you will be fine and it is lovely when you get home and they are really pleased to see you. Hope it goes well xx

thanks kate, i'm sure i'll be fine when i get back into it , its just hard with taking a demotion as well, i feel a bit embarassed even though it was out of my control.

Ah, yes definitely think about the positives! The lead up to it is far worse than the reality.

And just think how lovely the cuddles will be when you get home x x x

Just make sure you keep dropping into conversation the fact that you chose to return at the lower level as your family is more important! xx

i'm starting to dread it too but i've still got another 3 months to go. though i'm looking forward to my OH realising what hard work Arwyn is!!

Aww pinky I have only been off since 24 December and am dreading going back to work on Tuesday so can't imagine how you must be feeling. Hope everything goes well for you hun, are you going back full time? Am sure Ava and David will be fine together xx

it really isnt that bad.

leave a list of every single thing your oh needs to do as it will make you feel better even if he doesnt follow it.

leave food he needs to cook, what clothes to put on her etc etc.

and just wait til you have a whole HOUR to just do whatever you want. you will be going back from your lunch early as you wont know what to do with yourself

it'll be ok its only 2 days a week but im working 10 hour days so with my commute ava will be in bed when i get home, i'm sure hubby will be as well

Hey! I was a wreck a few days before I returned to work and hated the first day back! On my first day back a HR officer set up a meeting with me (she's also a personal friend).. A few weeks later she asked me how I'd settled back into work and I told her that I'm loving it and really like been back and she reminded me of that first meeting, she said I growled every time she talked to me lol!

Alls I can say is that the worry, anticipation, anxciety etc is much worse than actually going back and doing the job. I only do three days now but for those three days I'm me and not mummy/housemaid! The people I work with see me as person and we all sorts of exciting things like: coffee, lunch, girly chatter. And the best bit is going home to a happy little girl who has had a great day and is so happy to see me

I honestly can't explain that it's not as bad as you think it's gonna be!

thanks babymilly, i remember how stressed out you were going back so its great to hear you're enjoying it . Deep down i know it'll be good for me, i have become a bit of a baby bore and all my socialising is with other mums and babies.

awww i really feel for you both (pink and amy), i can imagine i would be feeling absolutely awful at the thought of going back. i hope your first days are great though, and you start to feel a bit more like 'you' and not just 'mummy you' if you get me
