| I now realise that babies sleeping habits are purely the luck of the drawer, and not solely down to the parent! Isla was a fantastic 'night time' sleeper from 8wks, but awful in the day (she wouldnt be parted from me!), where as Jess is great at her naps and will just be put in her cot and go straight to sleep (bliss!), but she very very rarely goes over 5hr stints through the night. Shes taking her formula, and some purees now too! We have a nice nightime bath routine........any more ideas? Or am I just expecting too much too soon? Ive just put her blackouts up in her room tonight, should I try her in her own room? Its not that im expecting her 'to sleep through' yet, its more that were not really moving forward at all, shes been exactly the same since about 4 weeks xxx |

| Unfortunately hun I think you're right - it's luck of the draw. Like you I have 'one of each' - a great sleeper and a crap one Thomas was the crap one, he had a night feed until he was about 7 months old and even after that has always woken at some point in the night/early morning and had to be resettled - still does now most nights (is a very quick tuck in and dummy - I practically do it my sleep). Is weird to think his baby sister sleeps better than he does at night and has done since 5 weeks . Not telling you this to scare you hun - just to let you know that you're not going wrong anywhere - just like me you have two different babies. I would def try her in her own room though hun. Thomas did settle better in his own space. Although he still took a night feed for a while he did settle a lot better between. Just stick with what you're doing routine wise hun - sounds good and try not to get too stressed by it (I know easier said than done - I've been there and sleep deprivation does not suit me). Let us know how she gets on when you move her to her own room hun - remember we are always here for you and you are not alone or doing anything wrong! xx |

| Are you feeding in the night? If so what times? Does she drink all her 7/8am bottle. With a lot of hard work i have Lewis asleep from 6.30pm till 6.30/7.00am with a dream feed at 10pm. Sometimes he briefly wakes but its usually cause he has a bit of wind and a quick burp session an hes fine. My 2 share a room and its going very well. H has allways been a good sleeper tho. I would deff try own room tho, with H it made a diff as we were dusturbing each other x |

| I havent had much experience with Lily yet (she is a monster at 11pm at night until 1am - solid for 2 hours, but its trapped wind). With Aimee, she was also on a schedule as she had spent so long in hospital that she slept through anything. She did start to stir a lot in her moses basket at 8 weeks old, so I moved her to her own room in the cot and she started sleeping through. It may be that she would be better in her own room, but it may also not make a difference. xx |

| Wow - BIG IMPROVEMENTS!! Were not their yet, but we are so much better already Jess goes to bed now at about 7pm, waking for a feed between 10pm & midnight (we hear her stir, and leg it upstairs so she doesnt wake properly), so we dream feed it in, and then shes done 2 nights of sleeping till between 6-8am. It feels good - Thankyou ladies xxx |

| Woweee! Yay! I'm so pleased that moving her into her own room has helped.
I read that if you want to drop the night feed then just start reducing it by 10ml every few days x |

| It makes me laugh because people say no two babies are the same. My 3 were and Eoin still is a crap sleeper. Why can't i have 3 that all slept well, it always has to be the bad things they all do. My first was great she slept through from 12 weeks. 2nd didn't sleep through until 14 months 3rd slept through from age 2. I hope Eoin isn't going to be 2 and a half to follow the pattern!!! Eoin is awake most nights by 11pm, then 2, then 5am. Sometimes he wants milk other times he doesn't. I am worn out. He won't wake for a dream feed. How is your lo doing now Lisa, i see your post was 16th dec. I was thinking of moving Eoin on his own. |

| Hi Guys, Were still pretty much the same!!! We put her to bed between 6-7pm, but we dont let her stir now we just nip up at about 9.30-10pm to dream feed her. She tends to sleep till about 6-7am......but occasionally its just after 5am!!! Shes not up long though before she wants to be back in bed. I think its really helped getting her on food though, she really really loves food sooo much more than milk. Shes never been a big milk drinker at all (always a fight), but since weaning shes so much happier. xxx |
