I don't think about xmas till after Moo's birthday..which gives me a grand total of 2wks to get organised

There will be loads and loads of them soon, thought I would get in there first and beat the rush x

I hate Christmas and would much rather spend all OH's money on getting pissed zz

I effin hate Christmas too! If it weren't for the kids..I honestly think I wouldn't celebrate it. Over the years I have watched it lose it's meaning..its become soooo materialized and commericalized and leaves nothing but a huge hole in the soul as well as in the pocketbook. I always feel like poo after it's all over...anyone else?

i still like it, i love going to midnight mass on xmas eve, its very special

I feel that it is all a competition to see who can spend the most on their kids!
Kids nowadys want everything and anything

To be honest none of my family are religious, don't go to mass or anything so I don't really see why we 'celebrate' it xx

i loved the christmas's when i was younger - very special. I agree Jen its just an oppurtunity for the money grabbing retailers to prey on our sense of goodwill and kindness just to fill their wallet's. the meaning has been lost for alot of people. i suppose its what you and family make it though

Its all about money. Like they have valentines day, mothers day, fathers day and I am sure there is a grandparents day too

Just a way to boost sales x

I love xmas! Well most of it... I love getting Caitlins toys, eating gorgeous food, my mums stuffing mmmmmmm, the tree, xmas music, tv specials, alcohol filled festivities ....

Parts I dont like so much.. spending long periods of time with some family members that irritate you, the skintness of January, stressing over presents for family/friends, the crowds in the shops, being 1 stone heavier on 2nd jan.....

yeh Snoopy - I CANNOT stand the queues I remember once there was a kerfuffle in tesco because 2 ladies were literrally scrapping over the last bag of sprouts FFS

Don't get me wrong, there are bits I enjoy.
Being able to spend more time together as a family and partying but I think it has become so focused on gifts now xx

I understand that..but every year it becomes more and more challenging..it's like u have to beat the previous years with giving. I use to love it..when Shayne and I didn't have a pot to piss in..we could stretch our meager budget and it was actually fun shopping for ppl back then. Now..it's trying to full fill a expensive checklist of wants. I so want to go back to the simpler ways...maybe this year will be the year...

I am soooo excited about Christmas this year...

Not because of the presents, but I just cant wait to take Aimee to see Santa, decorate our tree, make christmas cookies with her and make it so special. Oh and have a new bubs by then too!
