partner earns 18,000 a year she will earn either £5,000 a year or nothing if she stays home
(omg, that's all i earn a year that's rubbish)

She should use something like the government website to see what tax credits she'd get

Then £80 child benefit

Yes she will be entitled to Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits but wouldn't know how much. Child Benefit each week as well. Check www.direct.gov.uk x

On an £18k income they might not get Working Tax Credit as you have to be earning less than £16,500 but if she chooses not to go to work she should get Child Tax Credit after the baby is born. And everyone gets £80 a month (regardless of income I think) Child Benefit after bubs is born xxxx

thanx have told her about it shes going to have a look i dont know why she worries so much we cope and r rent is more than her mortgage i told her id rather have no money and still have riley cause he's the best thing ive ever had/done in my life (if u get me) obviously u need money to survive but i wouldnt give up riley now 4 the world, she is in a good situation to do it, i think, but she is so scared she has her own house, her partner is in a good job, theyve been 2gether 17years but didnt wont children at 1st but now they do they have family but they r older so wouldnt be able to help much with childcare if she wanted to return to work so i think thats why shes worried
