So just about all of Sams scabs have dropped off his chicken pox now but he is seriously covered in scars. Do you think they will fade? He has tons and tons. Some of them are really big. He has a few on his face but his body is covered in them!

Are they just red dots..without any indentations? If they are indented then I think those will be permanent, but the others red like spots should fade. Put up a pic hun. I have a couple of pox scars on my forehead from scratching the scabs off as a kid. xxx

Speaking from experience, I'd say the vast majority will fade, my two older kids both had them and my son has 1 tiny scar left! I really wouldn't worry. Smile

Bio Oil huni - I know it is expensive but it really does work to help scars to fade. The sooner you start to use it the better. It is about £10 ish for a bottle in Boots but a little does go a long way, I think they do a smaller bottle too xxxxxxx

Normally it's just the 'mother pox' that leaves a scar. Something to do with it being the main one. My nephew had his on his forehead. Mine was on my chest.

I'm sure all of them apart from that one (if you know where it is) will go x

They should fade away honey, Owen had poxy chickens at 6 weeks old and has 2 scars one on side of nose and one on base of spine (queen or main one)
I believe if you scratch the heads off they are meant to scar but think it's old wives tales just keep him moisturised and in the summer let sun get to him to increase vit d (I think it is Smile

Wil's looked like this last February and he still has a few marks on his back but they are gradually fading. It seems to take ages but I am noticing them less and less.

My son had chicken pox in June and he is 10, all the ones on his body have gone but he had 2 really nasty deep spots on his face which have left scarring and they are both indented Sad
