flammin stupid bank and debt management GRRR! went to my bank account earlier to transfer money into ians account for my flowers ect and when i looked it said -66 whats strange as i never have anythin taken out of my account as normaly all goes into ians bank! well my stupid debt people had taken 115 pounds from me when i only had 48 pounds in my accont so im now 66 pounds short with a bank charge of 25 and 5 pounds a day every day im over drawn and theres nothing they can do :'(
i swaped my account details ages ago with them but they said they didnt delete my bank details and just took money from there and not ians account so now im screwed :'( and to top it off ians just phoned saying cars failed its MOT

shoot me now

Was the money supposed to come out of Ian's bank? In which case, if you notified the debt company, it is up to them to cover your bank fees, not you.

Get on to them and tell them to sort it.

If the money was put aside for the debt company in Ian's bank, can you not transfer it to your account to clear the overdraft so you dont keep paying £5 a day in the meantime?

If you told them is one thing butyou have to tell the bank not to pay ie cancel standing order.

I was just going to say the same thing as Laura, was the money meant to come out of Ian's bank?? If so then can you not transfer it back over to clear yours?? xx

I agree with the other ladies Char - if you cancelled the direct debit with the company and you have it in writing then the bank will have to give you the money back

It happened to me when British Gas took £460 odd quid when I had cacnelled the DD a few months before! They just set it back up again and the stupid bank let it go through (I did have that much in there even!) when I was on SMP - we wanted to pay from Dans account! Anyway my bank gave me the money back right away!
