For some reason Sam has just decided he doesnt wanna go to bed anymore and he doesnt want to sleep through anymore!! One night he was fine and the next a nightmare and has been ever since!!

He goes to bed around 8.30 and for the next couple of hours he screams the house down! Been doing CC with him for the last 5 nights but it just isnt working at all.

When eventually he does go to sleep he is up around 3am doing the same thing unless i bring him bed with me which i hate doing cause i know how these things can snowball into problems.

I am knackered but he doesnt seem to be, even cut his daytime nap in half!

do you think maybe cutting his nap in the day has affected his sleep at night? If Cerys has a decent nap on the day, she is more relaxed by the evening and will sleep all night xx

I agree with Leah that having less naps in the day may make him less worse at night

A couple of other things to try - dancing and jumping like crazy fools right before bed? Dan thinks I'm crazy but everytime we go mad in her room and she dances and jumps - she is out like a light!

What about some calming music...or my fav white noise!

Does he take his fav teddy or anything to bed? Izzy alays takes her little comforter bear and I give her one of th other bigger bears to cuddle up to...just been up now 2 hours after going to bed and she is still slinging to the bear!

Night light? Maybe he doesnt like the dark? Izzt has a plug in one that comes on auto and its enough to light whole room but not bright

How longs it been going on hon. Anything else happen around same time that might have triggered it like a bad dream or has he got teeth coming or having a little growth spurt? C is a cowbag for night crying when her teeth are bugging her and recently had a growth spurt where she was up crying for milk at 3, i gave it her a couple of nights and once the spurt was over she stopped. Otherwise id say same as others. I wouldnt cut nap its counterproductive, C sleeps same hours at night regardless of naps but is grumpy as hell the days she doesnt nap and day after cos of less sleep so for me its pointless to try it.

And same as others have said whats nighttime routine, i bath C pretty much nightly cos it relaxes her and ive banned sponge bob after 6pm cos it winds her back up so after bath its iggle piggle only with a bottle of milk and a couple of organix biscuits which ive found again helps as it stops her getting peckish at night then off to bed with a disney cd

Sorry cant be mor ehelp, nighttimes aint the probs for me, just mornings. Oh edited cos of one more thing, if c wakes really early or in night sometimes its cos her feet are cold. Random i know but just a thought. She sleeps better with socks on
