| lewis will quite happily share his toys with me...and will hand his toys to lily-ann but instantly takes them back from her...he also steals everything off of her! i think at that age we just have to keep reinforcing that everyone gets a turn, he gets a go and then we hold his hand to stop him stealing lily-ann's turn. i don't know what to suggest at soft play though...tbh i think it's a phase they all go through |

| Gracie went through this so we started to wait for her to play with a toy (let her play for a good long while) then take it off her and encourage her to play with something else then do it again, a few melt downs and a few weeks later she now shares her toys and wont go into one if someone takes it off her x |

| ah lewis takes everything of lily-ann's and it's such a struggle cos she can't fight back, so if we leave them in a room together he'll steal it and go mental if it's taken back off him...yet the second she's not playing with it, he loses interest! |

| I have been told children dont truly grasp sharing until the age of 3. Until then its just reinforcement as they are very much into instant gratificatio and what belongs to them. C has become very possesive in last few months to point that if i confiscate a toy because she is being bad she will stand and scream MINE and try to take it back and playing with other kids i am constantly watching for sharing 'issues'. If she gets her hair off i explain shes allowed what she has in her hand and the other child can play with what they have and she cant have both. Figure im just gonna be doing it for a while |

| TODDLER’S RULES 1- If I want it, it's mine 2- If it's in my hand, it's mine 3- If I can take it away from you, it's mine 4- If I had it a little while ago, it's mine 5- If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way 6- If we are building something together, all the pieces are mine 7- If it just looks like mine, it's mine 8- If I think it's mine, it's mine 9- If I give it to you and change my mind later, it's mine 10- Once it's mine it will never belong to anyone else, no matter what Totally true |

| Wil is so laid back he just lets other kids take stuff off him and walks away to do something else.
Slightly different if you try to take the vacuum cleaner away though...seriously, the child has an unhealthy attraction to it and will go to any lengths to make sure he has access to it. |
