I know this isn't woohoo for most women but my period came at about 11pm last night, this means my body is recovering from the chemical pregnancy and has finally realised there is no baby. The Dr said it may be heavier and more painful than usual but it might not and OMG I'm in so much agony I just want to curl up in a ball and die (not literally!!) it is so heavy I'm having to use maternity pads now. I just hope this means that I've started to ovulate again and ttc can resume If the eggie had inplanted I would've been 20 weeks and 5 days I would only have 17 weeks and a few days left to go. But you live life by the hand you are dealt, dust yourself off and deal with it. I'm grieving for our wee eggie but it gives me some comfort that it wasn't a baby it was just a ball of cells. Do any of you ladies know why this happened? Will/can it happen again or is it one of those random things that happens? And the ball of cells that didn't implant are they coming out in this period or do you reckon my body has reabsorbed them? Dilly xxxxx

I wish I could offer some helpful advice as to why it happened but I dont have a clue im afraid, I just wanted to say Im glad (well not glad but you know what I mean) that your period has shown it at least means your body is getting back to some kind of normality. When I miscarried it was the most intense bleeding I have had in my life and the pain was like going through contractions, I would think your body re absorbed the cells and it is your built up womb lining that is coming away. Hopefully your cycles will get on track and a little miracle will occur very soon xx Sorry Ive not been of any real help to you.

You have been a great help, thank-you for replying, that would explain why the pain is so intense. It does feel like I'm been pulled and tugged inside there are no clots (yet) but keeping an eye out for these because the Dr said if I get any that are bigger than a 50p or if there is a weird smell occuring I have to go back in and see her xxxx

after my mc i got clots galore, fricking monster size and a week later i started to notice it was a bit whiffy, the blood. i bled for almost 4 weeks, its been 6 weeks since. i had a small infection, that was making the cramping more intense apparently. when i told the doc how sore it actually was he said i had prob had the infection for a few days before i noticed the smell. any intense cramping should be checked out. no ones ever told me that before, i always just grunt and bear it.

I'll see how I get on this weekend, the heat pad (finally!) seems to be helping it a bit, I've only been wearing it 6 hours now and they run out after 8!! I'm going to take some of the strong painkillers the dr gave me ages ago tonight before bed (they make me fuzzy in the morning so I can lay in as hubby's at home sats and suns) so it is kinda lucky I'm going through this today as he can look after me for the next 2 days I think it is just normal cramps but if it does get worse then I'll see my GP Mon morning (promise) lol xxxxxxxx
