pretty please? It's been 36 degrees everyday since June. JUNE!!! It's now nearly September! SEPTEMBER!!! And it's rubbish hot, so humid that every time you step outside you're soaked in sweat straight away
No wind, not even a breeze..for 3 months!! I'm English, I'm not built to cope with this kind of weather!
The worst thing is, Milo hates going outside too - we don't have a car so usually walk everywhere, but he gets so hot in his pushchair that he starts screaming after about 15 minutes.
I've got cool pads and a UV cover for his pushchair but it doesn't make a lot of difference. There's only one baby club in our area, and thats about a 20 minute walk there, so doable, but he will scream the whole way home. Doesn't help that it finishes at 12, so we're walking home at the hottest time of the day. And they only have baby group once a week so me and Milo are going out of our minds with boredom!
We go for a walk after dinner when it's a bit cooler, but it doesn't really get bearable until 8 or 9pm, and he's asleep by then
We've tried going to the local shopping centre, but there's nothing for babies to do there, and he hates being in his pushchair for a long time. We are housebound and i'm slowly losing my mind!
And there's nothing else in walking distance apart from our cornershop, and they're bored of us in there.
What can we do to stop going crazy? Milo is currently lying flat out on the floor singing at his water bottle, poor kid
he's climed all the furniture..At least we have aircon so it's cool in here.
