hmmm so we made the decision for me to stay at home - some of you might remember all the umming and ahhing about it, and tbh financially we would be the same wether i went to work and put elijah in nursery (yuck!) or stayed at home for now... so we are only left with about £50 after bills, food etc and i think that will be spent on clothes for the baby really and maybe swimming, sooooo how on earth do i entertain myself? we aren't particularly well off anyway, but i feel somehow i have become reliant on spending money when i go out - even nipping into tesco, or going to classes and things, they all cost money - i have lost my imagination!!! (maybe i birthed it out by mistake ![Shocked](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_eek.gif) ) any thoughts on stuff to do??? we do live near a park now, and hopefully eli will play a bit more now he is getting bigger, but the crafts and stuff i can't really do with him!

Speak to your local Sure Start children's centre and find out what free classes and groups there are you can go to.

I love walking! As long as it's not raining I go long walks on my day off and usually feed the ducks too.

i just moved michelle! we are in perth now...but at least we are near the parks, and the swimming pool - i might have to put a set amount aside each month for swimming cos i love it so it will be a weekly or so treat. i have had elijah out walking every day this week (well, we walked, he sat in his pram like the little prince he is ![Wink](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif) ) and its been lovely but i think i will need to do some other things soon...although im quite excited about getting out and about more ![Smile](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif)

A lot of libraries do free sessions for singing, reading etc and as Gill said sure start have things on. You will probably also find local playgroups that will only charge you about a £1 to go xx

I would do as Gill says and look into Surestart. We have one near me and they do activities for the babies/children every day and its all free. Things like messy play, music, etc. x
