| Please feel free to move this post to the appropriate section but I figured it would get more responses from here. I am hoping to be able to breast feed Lissie Bou, but obviously would like to get some formula in, just in case I dont get on with it. So how did you decide which formula to use for your LO or what do you use?? xx |

| Just reccomendations usually. I preferred cow and gate, its basically aptamil as made by same company and same ingredients but a pound a tub cheaper |

| I used aptamil too. You might be best getting some of the little cartons in so you can try her out and see if it agrees with her rather than buying a whole tub xxx |

| I used aptimil once I stopped BF, but I would say get the cartons to start with as even if you do mixed feeding on the odd days, you probably won't use the whole tub |

i used aptamil also, and agree with mrs b as a few people i know bought a certain brand then found they ended up trying a few diff makes as some didnt agree with their little ones also some of their LO suffered with things like reflux and colic so had to have a sutiable milk but the birth unit i had lilly in had aptamil and cow and gate the buying cartons to test is a good idea xxx |

| we used aptamil ready made cartons when i was mixed feeding - it constipated elijah though and gave him terrible trapped bum wind!
we moved to hipp organic ready made cartons and they were great - i use it now if i dont get chance to express enough for cereal etc and it is fine. he was only getting 3-6oz a day though.
the ready made cartons are more expensive but a) save you arsing about trying to measure things b) you can take them out easily and c) you aren't wasting loads of money if they don't agree with your little one. |

| Gracie had SMA gold then went to SMA 2 9Hungry baby) she never had any problems i just went with that as its slightly thicker so easier on their tummy its a preference thing hun i didnt want any other as everyone i knew who had tried other brands had really sicky (reflux) babies and so i went with what i thought was best x there is no wrong one that you can choose hun x |

| i used cow and gate through midwife recommendations! i think the cartons taste different though so not sure they are good to go by for testing, braden had cow and gate formula but wouldnt touch the cartons. he hated it x |

| No C hated the cartons too but that was after trying the regular stuff. Mind you she ended up on prescription so it was a moot point in the end. But i think for an emergency feed til you get a big carton sorted its a good idea |
