Hi, just a quick question!
my mum and me were trying to think of a way to make some money, and i had the idea of making and selling cot/cot bed bedding sets, i bought one from ebay off a lady for 18 quid and now she sells them for nearly 50! so basically, if we sold quilt, lightly padded pillow, cot bumper, small padded pillow and a little heart pillow as the set for £30-£40, would anyone be tempted?
obviously they would be good quality and as they would be hand made there would be a range of different patterns!

im not asking you to buy our things, im just seeing if its worthwhile, they would be sold on ebay.

I think it sounds very reasonable. If I was buying a pillow and quilt for the cotbed I wouldn't need a bumper with it so maybe an option with and without would be good. x

I agree with Lisa, I wouldnt buy a bumper, but quilts are always nice, Izzy had a really lovely cot size one which was a patchwork style and it was quite alot for what it was, although very pretty - I reckon you could make similar and sell for less. I'll see if i can find it

I think the prices she is charging is fair...there is a lot of little ribbons and details, so they arent as simple as ones that are less money

I think you'd find it hard to make sets like that and make a decent profit selling them for much less, especially the ones with more expensive fabric

well, i have researched it and i think we could do it and make a bit of a profit. the fabric she uses isnt that expensive, to be honest, im not expecting we could sell them for much cheaper but it doesnt seem that there is much competition in that price range. craft fairs could also be an option but i havent looked into that.hehe, my mums really good at sewing too!
