Baby movements.... _
PostSubject: Baby movements....   Baby movements.... EmptyThu Jan 20, 2011 6:51 am

Lissie Bou has been a bit of a monkey again the last few days with regards to movements, ended up having to go to the hospital the other night to have a CTG done, as soon as we got there though she thought it was ok to wake up and have a party.

Had to go back yesterday morning for a 2nd trace and a doppler ultrasound and all was fine again.

But today, she has moved more than her 10 times....but sometimes I can see movements but not feel them, would you count them in your movement count and be satisfied that your baby was happy in there??

Apologies for the overdramatic worrying post! Ooooppss xx

Could it be that your placenta is cushioning the movements hence you can't feel them? Regardless of whether you feel them she's obviously making movements so yep include them in your count.

If you can see em they count. Also the big big movements will get less over time now and more like shuffles and heaves as she tries to get comfy cos its getting squashed in there

I was this with ellie and it's like what lisag said it was my placenta on the outside wall. I was 25 weeks before I was sure I could feel her!

I never get fed up with your little worrying posts, I just think it's really sweet an can remember having all same worries with my first baby. xxx

My placenta is posterior and high so definately not that cushioning the movements, but Mario....you have just described what I am getting now down to a T.

Thanks Pen.

I had my bump measured when I was at the hospital yesterday and was measuring 28 cms so shes deffo growing well and the doppler ultrasound was good too. xx

Awens been doing same for a week or two now hon she rarely does big kicks but my whole belly ripples as she turns over. And shes contantly jiggling about down near my groin. Am glad its going well. Like Pen says its always scary with your 1st i remember freaking out and going for a ctg twice just for c to start doing the rhumba too. They do it on purpose bear that in mind!!! If shes quiet drink something icy cold and jog up and down the stairs a few times. I find lying in bath and resting a full bottle of shampoo on my bump does it too cos she gets narked and kicks the hell out of it Laughing

It's not 10 movements a day that should be concerning you anyway hun, it whats normal for YOUR baby. FOr example if baby usually get a wriggle on after lunch then doesn't one day go and get checked out because they have routines even inside the womb. You should also get checked out if your baby has been moving alot more than usual.

Theres a really good website called countthekicks that explains it all better than me.

Sorry to get all movement police on your post Siobhan xxxx
