Well after 6 weeks of total bliss where C finally worked out 545-615am was a damned inconsiderate hour and started sleeping til 745-815 she started to slide. Last couple of days shes been getting up at 7 but when she does shes in such a bad mood all day it amkes for hard work.

Anyway last night she didnt eat her dinner and went to bed with milk only cos she refused to even try what id made. So of course by 5am was awake looking for her bottle, went and made her milk, gave it to her and went back to bed only for her to start shouting to get up at 630am. Decided this morning enough was enough as she was grumping and grousing already and wasnt having another day of whining for 13 hours so i went in and said No Caelyn still time for sleepies, switched her music cd on and walked out.

Honestly i didnt expect it to work as every other time ive eer tried it she gets up and screams at the stair gate but we have been very strict with her at naptimes etc lately whre we give her 5 mins crying then pop her back in bed and leave for 5 mins again etc etc. All i can think is shes finally cottoned on that when shes told sleepies its meant now cos this morning she shouted for me for about 5 mins then gave up and fell asleep with her music on til 830 and is now playing in a very good mood whilst demolishing a big slice of toast

Think ive finally broken the silly morning waking habit fingers crossed hurah

awww brill. that's how I managed to get Cerys to get the hint about settling back to sleep. Let her cry 5 mins, laid her back down with cd on, didnt speak to her, walked out. If she cried again I would do the same but left it 10 mins. I would never go to her a 3rd time and she got the hint very early on. fingers crossed for you. Training kids really is like training dogs xx
