| i've just experienced my first projectile vom from Arwyn, it was beautiful!!
anyway..... unless she's just sick (but she seems totally fine now just half an hour later) the only thing different she's had today is that 6 month + follow on milk for the first time, could it have been that? |

maybe - does it have anything new in it compared to the other stuff? maybe it has more dairy or something? elijah won't touch it, we tried a couple of times and went back to first milk for cereal and stuff sounds delightful though, what a proud moment

have a look online and compare the ingredients? you would think iron would make her poo black but not make her sick (argh post-birth flashback ), maybe it has something weird like egg powder in it, i dunno why they are 'follow on' really, the night time ones have rice in them though but i think greedy face elijah doesn't need more food!

ive never bothered with the follow on milk. my hv told me it was a waste of money and that as long as your baby is getting a healthy varied diet it should be enough. im lukcy that alfie eats anything and gets alot of variety in his diet x

i use follow on, mostly because im a cheapskate and you can get it on offer whereas the other milks never are. we've never had a problem, did she guzzle it down too quickly?

she had a bottle this morning, then another this afternoon but only had about half. she wouldn't eat her tea and when i was feeding her a yoghurty thing she just vommed everywhere. it was a good 2/3 hours after her last bottle

| Could have been the the yoghurt hun. I had a similar experience (as did Laura with Aimee) when first introducing yogs/fromage frais. Leave off them for a week or so and try again. My two were fine second time round and love them now.

she vommed again tonight, this time at bed time. i changed back to stage 1 and she had no yoghurty thing. she also vommed at teatime yesterday and she didn't have one then either, i'm sure it must be the milk

eli was miserable the first few times he had dairy so we stopped giving it to him for a few weeks and gradually went back to it and he has been fine - arwyn has been having formula fine though so hmmmm maybe she is overeating a bit??? or a bit of a bug

it's proper exorcism type spewing, and apart from crying the first time (can't remember if she cried last night cos i wasn't there) she didn't seem to be bothered by it tonight. she's totally fine in herself! we're going to get some ready made ones again and see how she is

well the vom is getting less everyday which is something. we've gone back to breastfeeding during the day and the ready made carton at night. mymum's friend kept saying to me it's cos i'm over feeding her (she's a knob) which i don't think i am. maybe if we just starting weaning but it's been 5 or so weeks now i've made up batches of food so i know exactly what she's eating. i really want to get her on formula though, is it worth buying yet another box of milk??

have you tried all the kinds that come in cartons??? elijah hated the powdered hipp organic but likes the carton one. having said that i was making his cereal with formula and he stopped pooing again for a week and had awful wind so i have given up and started expressing again boo! after 2 days he is back to normal though, so i am tempted to blame the formula for everything just now! maybe just hold back on yogurts and things for a bit so the only dairy she is getting is the formula? then start with dairy slowly again, that might do it, eli is fine with yogurt now after being poorly with it (and i think that was after a month at least). 'course she could have just had a sore tummy

she didn't poo at all yesterday which is very unlike her, we usually get 2 dirty bums a day! she been fine with the cow and gate carton, just not the powder. she had the little stars yoghurt 2 weeks ago without a problem, there's no way it was the thing she had on tuesday cos she wouldn't have had it in her tummy long enough going to get some hipp or aptimil and try that

hm that's a bit weird, i would say it doesn't sound like the yogurt now haha yeah maybe just try another brand and see how that goes, eli has just been on stage one really plain jars and ebm/bf for 3 days to get back to pooing
