Same as, all that heat is getting wasted so this idea is more environmentally friendly xxx |

| if i knew then yes it would put me off big time only beause i think what if some of the floating ash got into the heating pipes and popped up in the pool but if i didnt know i would still go as i would assume it was heated the traditional way x |

| I dont think its a big deal tbh, its not lke they have a bonfire going down in the cellar and are chucking ppl on its just diverting energy from the crem which is otherwise being wasted. If it were me id be pleased to know i was having something positive from my death. Oil and coal isnt gonna last forever |

I don't understand what you mean..its just a crematorium which is where a huge number (maybe even the majority?) of people go when they die..and they would direct the heat generated to heat water - there is no difference to how the person is 'got rid of' It wouldnt bother me in the slightest |

| no I dont think it would bother me either. in fact I think it's a brilliant idea... why use the energy to cremate people and then use another double amount of energy to heat a pool when the one amount of energy can do the same thing! brilliant |

It wouldnt bother me in the slightest no if they was only burnt for the pool heating. some people i would of thought would not like the idea... its a good idea that the heat would be used for stuff like that. but wouldnt it mean that they would have to be right next door to each other? |

| ohh I don't think it would EVER be socially acceptable to burn bodies in order to just heat a pool...but this is wasted energy that is being produced whatever, people will choose to be cremated forever...so it may as well be out to use.
Im not sure how close they'd need to be, but geothermal heating which is no where near as hot works so it'd be a similar thing I suppose? water pipes might run between the 2, being heated at the one and and moved to the pool - and then those hot pipes would be used to heat the water in the pool, like a kettle (I dunno thats just my guess) |

| TBH as society liveslonger, space gets tighter and populations expand then cremation is gonna be the way to go more and more you just cant keep putting ppl in the floor when there is no room for people to have housing without building on flood plains etc. If thats gonna be the case why not use the energy to solve some of our energy crisis. Ppl moan about the cost of oil but without alternatives its only gonna keep rising |

| This is near where i live and the pool is right next door to the crematorium. I am all for it, to be honest I would be more concerned with swimming in the pool full of piddle than worrying about the source of heating x |
