Thanks Laura! helpful as usual Thanks Suzie! Problem I've got today is that Paul goes to fat club (aka slimming world ) after work and doesn't get home till the kids are in bed so I've been trying to do it alone but I got one in her eyelashes and the other eye she jammed that tightly shut there was no way I could get it open even a slither and the little minx just lay there whacking me and screaming . Doc didn't really say much but he thinks its just linked to her cold as her eyes dont seem irritated or sore in any way just absolutely caked in green goo . She is fine in herself during the day she just gets peed off at night when she goes to bed and her eyes lock shut. I'll give it another go before bed xx

Hmmm cant help you there Ive got to do same with Hannah and its just not working worse thing is think theyre slightly stinging. Im going drs again tomorrow (Js turn) and im going to say something as this time i saw a nurse and she gave me flipping eye drops when every other time I have had like a gel in a tube, which i ended up putting on when shes asleep and just let it soak in that way. Might be worth asking your dr for that instead. whats the drops called? xx

Oooh that can be tricky, maybe like Laura said wait till shes having a bottle and catch her unawares, sounds awful but it sounds like it has to be done to make her eyes better xx

when Cerys had a gunky eye and we had to put drops in, there were 2 ways i used to do it. 1. Lift her eyelid right up and drop it quick onto the eyeball 2. drop a bit in the corner of her eye (nearest nose) both ways will make sure it gets spread across the eye. btw yes you will have hold her tight xx

Put her against your body with the arm nearest you under your arm pit and behind your back, with the arm you have free press lightly on lower eyelid to keep eye open and with the arm you have under her head you shud be able to use the crook of your elbow to minimise her arm movement of the arm furthest aay from you and drop the drops in using that hand Does that make sense? How we do it at work and ive done it with c before

Lily had a couple of eye infections and the nurse suggested to do it when she was asleep, it was easy and she didnt wake up. I did one lot at night, one in the morning and one when she was having a nap xx
