Im going to open Tayla-Rose a bank account today (finally )
What do i need to take with me to open it?

I think you need photo id and 1 or 2 proofs of address for you, when I opened one for Drew I was already with the bank his one is also at and they just asked for my photo i.d (like a passport or if you drive a drivers license) and 2 proofs of address (I took in my Council Tax Bill and Tenancy Agreement) xxx

Most want to see the LO's birth certificate too! I know Natwest does!

If you already hold a bank account there yourself you won't need as much. I opened one for Amelia with Nationwide and as I already have a mortgage and 2 accounts with them they only asked for her birthcert and I took my passport too, can't remember them looking at it though! I also took my pass books for my accounts x

Oh yes and the childs birth certificate, I forgot about that. They took a photocopy of it to keep in their records xxx

Thanks girls, my mum said that u have to have an appointment at our bank to do this too so ive been trying to ring them since 10am....still no answer grr!

You need Tayla's birth certificate and proof of identity for you. Something with your address on definitely.
