have to say there are lots of blues/greens in there tho so might not help that much lol!

i have teal in and chocolate in my living room, tried a wallpapered statement wall and gave up as a bad job hahahaha!

Since you're rug's duck egg blue i'd look around at wallpaper the same colour and then buy blue accessories like candles, vases, canvases, cushions etc.

My walls are all mahagony but i've made it look really colourful just by having a purple rug and purple accessories!

How about something like this? Adds colour without being too overpowering?
