I was quite good friends with a guy in secondary school. Havent saw or heard from him since leaving school 9yrs ago but a few years ago I did hear rumours he'd had a bit of a meltdown and just hung out with his mum.
At school he was a complete brainbox. So intelligent getting 10/11 A* at GCSE and as far as I know A's in Alevels. He didnt really fit in with any of the boys, he walked around hockey pitches either on his own or with 1-2 girls carrying his boot bag, never played football, didnt go to parties... I could go on but basically it was blooming obvious he was gay! I dont think he knew it himself but from day 1 of meeting him at age 11 you just knew he was. He always denied it and wouldnt really talk about girlfriends.... He was quite chubby and wore glasses...

Anyhoo I found him on FB last week and added him as a friend. Oh me oh my he is lookig superb . A total fitty, gorgeous eys, sexy stuble lol... I couldnt believe it was him. There is pics of him kissing a guy on his FB and he has him listed as his partner so he has obviously came out at some stage. I sent him a quick message saying he was looking amazing and asking was he working. He replied on his wall saying thanx for compliment and to email him what id been up to, he lives in london now & does acuarcy.

If you were me would you mention that he had came out? Make a joke that I fecking knew that 15 years ago... or totally ignore his sexuality. I dont want to offend him but dont want it to look as if im ignoring it. How do you phrase... 'Oh I see you are gay then?' lol

I wouldnt actually mention he was gay, maybe just say love your pics, you both look really happy? xx

i deffo agree with not mentioning it and just stating how happy they both look

i wouldnt mention it at all id jst keep the conversation goin as it is, he clearly knows u know if he has pics of him kissing the guy on fb so jst leave it as it as and im sure he will say something about it since u are having a catch up anyway

That's fab that he is looking great and has a good job.

BTW he will be earning loads if he is an actuary in London

i had the same thing, a guy who was glaring obviously gay at school but did have GF's is my FB friend he is super fit, works in syndey and has an equally fit partner.

havent mentioned it, dont feel the need, although i did text a friend who isnt on FB and say...........i told you so......

Thats it an actuary. I couldnt remember the word lol. I remember at school he tried to explain it to me, something about helping bank of england set interest rates or something? I dont understand what it is tbh. I imagined he would end up earning 100k +., he was so smart and such a perfectionist, im sure he worked hard to get there.

Going to take everyones advice and not mention it. We will have lots of other stuff to catch up on. Just wanted to check he wouldnt see it as rude that I was ignoring the fact he'd came out x
