poo question _
PostSubject: poo question   poo question EmptyFri Sep 03, 2010 4:11 am

I am getting a bit concerned about her poo (sorry) its still really runny, shes not had 'formed' poo ever. Should I be worried?

I havnt started properly yet potty training but she will sit on the loo when I change her nappy and things but wont go, but Im not really going to tackle it till after this baby. but I am thinking I am going to have problems when it comes to her doing a number 2. scratch

surely they should be formed by now? I asked the HV when I last saw her all those months ago when she turned one. but she just said dont worry means she drinks alot of fluid... but I drink alot and I dont have that problem? and I wouldnt say she drinks excessive amounts either, normal I would have said.

Izzy is the same as Alice, her poos are nuggets unless she is teething very badly or is poorly

I am fairly sure she has done proper poos since she was fully weaned

Chloe is a bit of both, sometimes she is solid and sometimes a bit looser, but it's only been regularly solid in the last month or so. I also find it depends on what she's been eating and how much she's had to drink. Does she eat a lot of fruit too or drink fruit juice or smoothies? that can make them a bit looser. I would take a trip to the GP though just to put your mind at rest

Seb does a mixture of solid and runny poos; the runny ones tend to occur later in the day. He eats a lot of fruit (in what I'd consider adult portions e.g. an entire nectarine or orange) though he doesn't get juice.

Since nursery haven't commented / complained, I figure it can't be that unusual... (but don't let me put you off going to your GP, I'm no expert!)

Just wanted to add that Oliver does a mixture too, 80% of the time his are formed. He does drink alot and has a fair bit of fruit and veg. But I would defo have a word with your gp just to ease your worry. Especially if its always been quite loose.
