| Caitlin has had cold like symptoms on and off for about 10days now. Last night she was up half the night screaming, or cuddling in my bed, had slight temp and then this morning her snot was running bright green. Took us both off to drs this morning cos im still not great either and the dr checked us out & said it was just a viral thing and not much we can do but wait it out. One min she happy & laughing at ITNG, the next throwing a paddy for no reason and looking miserable as sin Any tips on what I can do apart from calpol every 4 hrs? Her temp ok now, but she coughing alot and im worried she going to take croup for the 1st time as she sounds a bit hoarse. I worried il panic if she does. Also food- today she has ate a pear, a sml orange, box of raisins, cpl bits of ham and tiny plate of mixed veg. I knw she is hungry as she is trying to eat (made her chicken, veg & mash for tea and most ended up thrown on floor), but when she eats she takes a bite then howls in frustration. I think she cant taste it and is getting upset, that or her throat is sore. I dont want to send her to bed hungry but cant think what she would eat? |

| Thanx hun, I know she isnt seriously ill. Really hoped dr would say it was infection so at least anti b's would clear it/make her feel better quick. I just wish I knew that if she takes croup I wont panic and make it worse, or what she would eat so as not to go to bed with empty tum.... She is dressing daddy up as a fairy atm so its not all bad |

| Just keep feeding her and giving her lots of fluids and tonnes of cuddles. There are everlasting flu/cold bugs that seem to take ages to heal from. I hope she feels better soon. If she keeps dripping green or yellow..go in for another check because sometimes viral can turn into bacterial. xxx |

| When Rowan had 1 of his many viruses ( we had a constant 5 months of Rowan being quite unwell beginning of last year ) pureed food or cereals lots and lots of fluid more water then milk. Lots of cuddles and we'd use calpol then nureofen. Calpol does not have any effect on Rowan so we use neurone now and always works.
Fresh air too even if they are snotty fresh air is good.
As for her cheast and developing croup try her in a steamy room for 10-15 mins then see how she goes.
I hope she feels better soon |

| Dont worry about spelling! Il have to buy some neurophen stuff 2moro. Iv only ever gave her calpol but il maybe try the 2hrs alternating thing between the two. Iv taken some cold and flu capsules and feel tons better so if I can drug Caitlin up to hopefully she'l feel happier 2moro. x |
