My cat has just come in with a paper collar around his neck. I've pulled it off and it says the following:

Name: ......... (I'm not going to put the name) Tel:0000000000000 Can you help? This cat visits me, does it belong to you?

Then on the end it says collar end.

Now i've rang the number and left a message asking for her to call me back as I wanted to make sure everything was ok.

But i've never seen any of theses and if him visiting is a problem there is not much I can do about it apart from tell her if she does not to let him in her house.

He's a very very friendly cat and loves attention so if someone invites him he'll go back.

What should I do. What is=f she rings up an angry?

Or do you think she is making sure he's not homeless?

i would say she is trying to see if he is homeless like you say if she doesnt want him why let him in xx

I would of thought she was checking to see if he had a home, and if not maybe take him on? I wouldnt think he's pissing her off, if I had a cat that I didnt want around I would just shoo it away.

haha well from my experience cats only go places where they get fed - so maybe pop a note back or just ask her not to feed him and he'll soon stop visiting her!

Agree she is prob just looking to see he has an owner. My MIL says cats pick their owners so you better make sure your food is up to scratch or tell the woman to stop feeding it or you may well lose your cat! My MILs cat belonged to someone else but then 'chose her'.... was nothing to do with the bowls of food she left out attracting them Cat theifs tut tut!

Nope not heard anything. Going to have to get him a new collar though that says don't feed me. He's 9 years old and he's stomach and Bowles can't deal with human food and he's been on one brand of cat food his whole life. As he gets bad bowls if it's changed. And what ever she's fed him he's not a happy chappy and neither is his litter box

Oh poor puddy cat. We used to have two cats, one of which used to go to all the old neighbours in the bungalows behind us. We didn't realise for ages. They were all feeding him, apparently stilton and cream, etc (why would you feed this to a cat??), and we only found out just before he died. He was only a young cat but he got ill suddenly, turned out he had leukemia. So we had to break the news to all his other owners.

Anyway, i like the idea of messenger cat!
