PostSubject: help clots and bleeding   help clots and bleeding EmptyFri Feb 11, 2011 4:56 am

So havnt had a period since hollie, today started bleeding (guess its AF) but.... its big clumps of red blood what I can see from it being what looks like my placenta.

when I had her they saw it was slightly rupturared and said few days after id find bits of it comming away (which I did) stringy white clumps, showed MW few weeks after said all normal. and then stopped when stopped bleeding. all fine.

Iv not been unwell (I am bit today but put it down to stress for lillies bday) but been to the loo passing big clumps and thick stringy white crap, looks like skin. so def my placenta.... Drs closed, MWs phones nocked off should I ring the materinty unit is it something urgent or shall I see how it goes (really dont wan to be in the drs tomo lillies bday :0( )

sorry its a quick question and im off again sorting, panicing now might have to canx everything Crying or Very sad

I would call the maternity unit to be safe, its probably nothing, but I think you are right to want to check, with it being 3 months you'd kinda expect everything to be back to normal by now

if you can't get hold of dr etc maybe give nhs24 a go? they can tell you/connect you to the right service (maternity unit or local out of hours dr etc), hope you get something sorted out before tomorrow!

PostSubject: Re: help clots and bleeding   help clots and bleeding EmptySun Feb 13, 2011 12:58 am

so I rang the NHS who checked with a nurse there and then to be sure nothing urgent, who said if I wasnt bleeding heavy then no.
So waitied for 3 hours for a dr to call back, who couldnt understand it basically, said it couldnt be my placenta as I woul have been really ill by now nad would have been in excessive pain. which Im not or havnt been.
so she tried to say it was because I was using a tampon and it was gathering the blood and comming away in clots.and the tampon was falling apart causing it to look white!! Laughing erm no but as I kept trying to tell her I was having clots but wasnt the clots I was worried about! I had a lump/tube of skin looking just like when my placenta was rupurted. but she kept telling me it was impossiable for it to be placenta and must be blood clot. she wasnt listening to me as (sounds gross now) but it was like a tube could pull it apart and wasnt bloody best way to discribe it was like chicken skin white like skin. so as I wasnt bleeding heavy or in pain and once I passed this thing I had no more clots or clumps of 'stuff' said I would be fine & that was that.

but since then talking to some, someone menioned decidual casts, so googled it and its exactly what it was like. so Im thinking it is that. Im guessing being back on the pill nad hormones from after having hollie has caused it. but just bleeding as normal now. werid
thanks ladies for your help, I wasnt going to ring but between you and OH made me, glad I did put my mind at rest. xxx
