OK, this lady is really lovely, but I couldn't do what she does! She has 3 kids, the youngest is under a year, and a toddler and preschooler. She doesn't have a car, so she gets all of them around by bicycle! The preschooler goes in the rear bicycle seat, the toddler in the front seat, and the baby strapped on her back in a sling She obviously feels safe doing it, but my god it must be near impossible to pedal with all that weight!

I could never do it as I wouldn't feel safe, but I admire her spirit! I have enough trouble getting one child out and about, never mind 3!

Flipping heck, I would be scared having 1 child on my bike!

In all honestly she sounds like a nutter. What if she falls off her bike, not too serious when you're alone but I wouldn't do it with 3 kids. The one strapped to her back doesn't even have the protection of the childseat!

Probably not the safest way to travel! Yep she's nuts!

I am guessing this is in Japan. I saw loads of people in Vietnam with whole families on one moped. Older kid in front, dad driving and mum clinging on to him with one hand holding the baby in her other arm.

My god, what if she fell on the baby?!? She must be mad.

OMG! I have just got the bike seat fixed on and put Izzy in it and that was bad enough - one squirm and it wobbled!

Also how does the one in the sling wear a safety helmet - cos I can't see how it would work in a sling as the helmets protrude quite alot

Gill, yep this is in Japan, everybody rides bicycles! Most people manage to do while texting/holding umbrellas/bags of shopping, I can barely manage with both hands on the handlebars!

Lisa, none of the kids were wearing helmets - I literally couldn't watch her cycle away, all my mummy instincts were screaming "daaaangeeeer!!" I see a lot of kids in bicycle seats (it was my first time to see a mum riding with a baby in the sling) and I rarely see them wearing helmets. I think when the start primary school, the school makes them wear helmets but before then it's up to the parents.

Oh god, I just remembered this one too - was walking with Milo down our road, which is pretty narrrow, and this woman came bombing along in her tiny car. I picked Milo up to keep him out of the way and she still nearly bloody drove in to me! So I glared at her and shouted a big swear only to see she had her baby ON HER LAP in the fricking driving seat! couldn't see if she had her seatbelt on or not but if she's that stupid probably not. I mean, driving one hand with a wriggly baby (looked under a year old) through narrow twisty streets where you can never see what's coming round the corner, at that speed..

She may not have spoken English, but I'm guessing she picked up on the gist on "Brainless tw*t!" as it was yelled through her window..

TBH I'm so blinking clumsy on my bike I dont even have a seat on there for Libby!! And as for that stoopid biatch in her car, does Japan not have laws about childseats?? xx
