Hi there all, I'm new to this site and just wanted to make friends and talk to other mothers trying to concieve with PCOS. I have a 3 year old son but I am now trying for a 2nd naturally but not having much luck, Ive heard about clomid & other treatments and just wondered if any1 could shed any light on the treatments available and how they found it.

Sorry your having trouble trying to conceive, how long have you guys been trying for?
I can't offer much advice on pcos unfortunatly I don't have any experience with it, there is a lady on here who I believe is ttc with pcos and is using soy to help, her name is Victoria.
There's also been a couple of ladies that have eventually conceived having used clomid to regulate there cycles, I can't think of her user name on here right now, I'll post it once I've remembered lol!
Give the girls a pm I'm sure they won't mind at all!

Do you chart so you know when you are ovulating?

Hiya, I havent go PCOS myself but my aunt has, she's ttc at the moment aswell so were kinda doing it together. Shes on clomid, been put on it straight awa this time because she's had a child before and had problems but with her daughter the doctor wouldn't do anything till she'd been trying for a year naturally. All she had to do was request it fro her gp then wait untill the start of a new cycle to take it.

i have PCOS and am now pg.

we been trying for 2 and half years. i have a 10 (11 monday) year old.

we had some tests and during a lap and dye it was found i had pcos so they did ovarian drilling there and then, i didnt know until letter came through the post.

i was put on 100mg of clomid day 2-6 of cycle and on month 2 we had miscarriage without realsiing we were pg.
had a month off the tablets so i could rest
then took 3rd month of clomid and there you go

i'd say rest and not too much stress, but have fun dont forget that.

Yeah gonna get in touch with my GP 2moro and request the treatment (clomid) I say only been trying for about 3/4 months, but my periods are just all over the place, I can easily go for 2 months without having a period, so basically cant be ovulating. I try and keep my weight as low as possible I kinda my way of controlling the pcos, If i gain just the slightest amount of weight the periods go haywire again and come out in spots, which has recently happend cus ive gained half a stone, working my ass off to loose it though, but not having much luck. That is how I concieved my 1st, I lost 3 st and instantly became pregant, before the weight loss we had no luck for 2 years. Now I'm ready for another I was hoping it would happen for us again naturally but gonna ask my gp for some assistance. Yeah it so great to talk to other moms with the condition ... its such a pain in the ass !

Hello and welcome to Banda. My name is Dilly, I too have PCOS, I had another scan recently and the sonographer said it was quite severe and a miracle that my baby boy was conceived. At the mo we are ttc another little miracle. Fingers crossed and baby dust hun xxx

Can you just go to the gp and ask for clomid or are there special circumstances? My new GP is crap and really doesn't have a scooby doo what she is chatting half the time and I'm due to go in and have a chat with her soon so would like to go in armed with some info xxxx

I was told I had PCOS but this was seen AFTER I had my little boy Tyler. When I had my first scan at 6 weeks pregnant the dr said he couldn't see the cyst where the egg had come from so put me on progesterone and then after I had Tyler he did a scan and said I had PCOS.

I'm now TTC no. 2 but will wait for a while before I go see dr about any medication.
