| if your child refuses to eat do you offer a replacement ?,,, im finding miss is doing this more and more often
or if your child sleeps through meal time do you offer set meal later on in the evening or give something else ?
today i completely forgot to take the spag bol out freezer then the older kids decided to stay at mates , Oh is at work so we just have pizza later on little miss has been out of sorts today with sleeping due to police being hear at 5 in morning ! so she slept through her meal time , there was no point wakening her to eat as she would have point blank refused as it is closer to bed time i didnt want to go cook her anything else as im positive she would have arsed about and refused it, and i didnt want to defrost a family size portion of spag bol for just her again she prob would have refused that also due to still being sleepy she has had her evening meal replaced with a big bowl of porridge ( she would live off it given the chance she never refuses porridge ) followed by a banana and yoghurt if im completely honest after no sleep last night im also too tired to try with her tonight so i really have taken the easy way out have you ever replaced a meal down to refusal or sleeping pattern ?

| umm its not really the same (in that i don't think elijah has that much will either way just yet haha) but if he really really doesn't like something i quite often will give him something else, just so i know he has eaten - he is still trying new things though so maybe not the same! |

| Hard to answer cos Izzy doesn't really refuse meals very often at all - but if she did then no I wouldn't offer her another meal, but I'd not let her go hungry so would give her something plain like cheese, or toast, or fruit - just so she eats something (I have a thing about missing meals, as I can easily miss a meal and not notice and never want her to be that way cos its bad!)
If she sleeps through I just give it her when she wakes, it often happens when she sleeps longer at her midday lunch, or if she didn't drop off straight away - so she just has it later and then tea later.
Also yeh I've given her cereal in the day more than once, when I've been ill, or not had time to cook. |

| with lily-ann she doesn't really have much choice...she can't properly refuse them...but if she just sits and spits the whole lot out(as she has done a few times) we'll give her something like porridge as we know she loves it and can eat it easily with lewis we offer him something like a bread roll that he can happily munch on himself, just so he's eaten a little of something. |

| I just feed ellie when she wakes, but it would just be cheese on toast or somthing simple. To be honest most of her meals are simple. I would never do a spag bol if it was only for ellie. Porridge is fine, it's filling and healthy. |

| If he refused i'd try him with cereal or toast and fruit too. I wouldn't make another meal though but i wouldn't want him to go without eating |

| Wil regularly skips lunch at weekends because he is too tired to eat. I usually just offer him something when he wakes up from his nap. Today it was bite size crackers and soft cheese which he ate and kept asking for more.
When OH makes something like spag bol he tends to freeze a few Wil size portions in little pots so we can just defrost one of those if Wil needs something at a time when we don't |

| Aimee doesnt really skip meals as she loves her food too much. But, there has been occasions where she doesnt want what I have put in front of her. When this happens, she will be given toast instead. I wont make her anything else as I dont want her getting used to thinking she will get something else really yummy as and when it suits her. x |

| At lunch if H has slept through he gets a sandwich made when he wakes. If he hasn't slept by about 4, I try to get dinner on as he generally falls asleep in the highchair.. If he doesn't finish his dinner having fallen asleep I put him to bed and leave his milk by his bedside. If he wakes and dinner is cold, I'll do him toast or cereal |
