| Argh I'm so peeved off.
For 3 weeks now Rowan keeps waking up around now on and off until 3-5am tried food, drink a clean bum etc nothing. He screams blue murder until he can get in our bed. I've just say with him for 30 Mins trying to clam him down as every time I try and leave the room he get hysterical.
He's currently crying it out as I refuse to have in our bed as he don't sleep there either just rolls and jumps about.
I'm starting to loose the plot I've not had a full nights sleep For 3 weeks and getting only 3 hours 4 if I'm lucky a night. Im exhausted as it is.
What am I doing wrong? Why does he keep waking? I just want to cry I'm so tired |

| Gosh, sounds awful!
Many people may disagree but once I was sure there was nothing wrong I would leave him to cry! Maybe his body clock is a bit messed up and he's just waking and wanting attention, that at the moment he's getting. Why don't you speak to your hv, you really need to sort this out before the baby comes.

| yeh same here. Cerys does this now and again. I try and calm her by "shh shh" etc, when that doesnt work, I will give her a drink of water just in case she's thirsty. If she still cries I just leave her and eventually she gets the hint. I dont talk to her or turn the light on. If she continues to cry then I might give her calpol just in case she is teething. I can usually tell an attention cry from a pain cry x |

| I'm with everyone else as well. It's a habit he needs to break so I'd be inclined to leave him to it. It'll be hard for a couple of days but he will get the hint!
Maybe hes getting you ready for the night feeds lol |

| Gracie went through this just a few weeks back and i was starting to seriously lose the plot, all the time marc was on days i went into her so as not to disturb him but as soon as he went on to nights i just left her to it as there was no reason for it and within a few days she was back to sleeping through and has done ever since xxxx |

| We had a similar problem with Aimee when I was pregnant. James would stay with her and try to calm her down, which made things worse, as when he left and came back to bed, she would go mental. I dont think you should hang around for 30 mins tbh. I would just keep going in and saying 'night night' and put him back. In the end, I had to take over and do this for about a week, but she knew I meant business and realised that it wasnt going to work, and that I wasnt going to stay with her and she settled back to normal. x |

| well after posting this message i was sitting in bed and he cried for 15 mins then he was slowly stopping. after 20 mins he was a asleep and didnt wake back up.
we did CC with him when he was small and it worked great. i think i just need to use it again.
if he wakes i'll just check him make sure he's ok tell him night night and then leave.
i'm glad he slept till 7 this morning (i woke up before him at 6:50)
sorry about the drama i was so stressed last night he was being so hysterical |
