Just had a phonecall from OH at work, asking if there is anyone who can look after Harry at 7 in the morning for an hour - Errr no!! He then asks if I can go into work a bit later than 7 (I start at 7, finish at 12 so not much of a shift anyway!) and I say no to that and then ask why?? He says a member of staff has been stealing and he has proof of it and has to investigate it when this person starts work which is at 7 in the morning. As he is acting store manager at the moment it is his responsibility to investigate and interview the person involved, but he watches Harry on a Friday morning while I work. So he asks me what I can do, which basically means which family member can I ask at last minute to watch Harry while he goes into work for an hour first thing!! There's nobody that can help, its too early for my bro and SIL, and my mum starts work at 8. My mum is a diamond and said she could watch him for an hour if really needed. OH is on about taking Harry in with him, wrapping him up and leaving him with a collegue!!! WTF??!!! He is poorly for fucks sake and sleep deprived as he can't breathe very well at night and hes on about taking him out first thing in the fecking morning and risking him getting even more ill. Why can't he think of his family for once, instead of his job. I know it keeps a roof over our head but surely it can wait til 1pm when I get home and he can bugger off to work!!!

Sorry to rant or if that made no sense at all, just wanted to moan to someone

He surely cant expect you to change your working hours because something has come up at his work.

He will just have to leave it until you get home, then he can go and sort out the person who is stealing.

They cant expect people to drop their lives/plans at the drop of a hat like that x

He's rang his mum, who is in knaresborough and bless her heart she is coming through at half 6 in the bleeding morning to watch him while Rob goes to work. He is so worried that if he doesn't do this he could lose his job as there are talks of redundency at his work xx

i can see why you were p'd but also can see he is just trying to keep his job, but i'd tell russ where to go if he did that to me too

I'm pissed off for you hun!

Not because he has to work, because in the current economic climate we all need to be super duper committed employees.

What pisses me off is that he's made the decision yet as woman it's all been put on your shoulders to sort out childcare! This happens in my house all the time!

Thanks for your replies (and support lol), he got it sorted in the end, and Harry is starting to feel much better hes on his last day of anti b's and I'm hoping he stays better after the last of them xx
