So I was ill with mild flu symptoms on Tuesday and Wednesday - then Wednesday evening felt better so I didn't cancel lunch out with my mum yesterday

I was ok, a bit tired and feeble but not bad...then got home at 6 last night, felt like I had been run over and had my head hit with a bat numerous times...woke a million times in the night as head wouldn't stop banging even with strong painkillers...this morning same really bad head, aching all over, sweating buckets, feel sick, sore throat - full on flu and horrible

But how odd is it that it went away yesterday and then came back 10 times worse! Has that happeneded to anyone else?

Yeah hun thats what normally happens to me, start to feel better and then bam comes back with a vengance. Ive never had the flu before until this year and have had it twice already its crap made my back, kidneys and everything hurt so bad.

I've only ever had the proper flu once and it was when I was a teenager and OMG I was soooooo ill, hallucinating (sp??) and everything. xx

Lisa you have my sympathy me and Tayla have had it for two weeks now, finally clearing up now just got an ear infection! I had days when i felt much better then got knocked back down again. So nasty, hope you dont suffer as long as we have x

I had proper flu when I think I was 19, that was so bad.

I apparently had swine flu last year - but it wasn't really that bad

So this is the second time Ive had what I'd say is really flu

Sometimes I've thought Ive had flu, but its not til you get it for real you realise it was always just a bad cold before lol

Ive had proper flu once and i was basically asleep for a week! This one was bad but not that bad, i think i could of slept for a week if i had the chance though, i really struggled last week to look after a poorly toddler and myself while feeling like that! Wouldnt wish it on anyone!

lol def agree i have thought a few time before this year I had had flu, but def not. I have both times physically not been able to get out of bed for the best part of 2 days, ade had to have time off and had to have my mum over or go to hers.
I can honestly say you have my sympathy as its crap and nothing seems to touch it you just have to ride it out

Well I had Tuesday AM in bed and most of Wednesday cos Dan took care of her...and today I tried to be up but by 10am I had to go to bed

i normally get summer flu every couple of years ..its the only illness i get and its wipes me out for about a week xx hope u feel better soon lisa xx hot honey and lemon cures me of everything x

he had no choice! I said Im ill you HAVE to look after her!
At one point on Wednesday he said 'but you aren't that ill' I said how the hell do you know how I feel?! So today in case he thought I wasn't all that ill - I made him put his hand down my dressing gown and feel that I was cold but sweating! I think he felt bad then!

I am worried though cos she has hardly eaten anything all day - and thats how felt at first..I hope she doesn't get it right before her birthday!

That is how mine was 3 years ago. It was awful. Once is enough for me... never again!

ugh i had real flu a few years ago - i was living alone and genuinely thought i was going to die alone in my flat i felt so terrible i hope you feel better soon!
