First topic message reminder :

Right, this is in NO way getting at single people (I think you'll know that when you read it lol)

BUT some people expect everything to be done for them in life and if what I put below is true then OMFG how stupid!

Convo on FB: A girl posts to say 'Easy to fit lindam baby gate my ass!!!!! Not impressed!!! '

And someone replies with 'your a single mum the council should be out fitting you gates'

Shocked Shocked Please tell me this isn't true?!

Sorry hun I wasn't having a go at you. If it is offered I don't blame you for taking it. Like Lisa said it's more the fact that it is offered that pisses me off.

I was having a general rant about the state of this country and the fact that too many people (although I am not aware of anyone on here) expecting everything to be given to them/ done for them and not taking responsibility for themselves. I actually think that our governments have deliberately created this situation to make as many people as possible dependent on them and take away freedom of choice.

Again sorry hun eh really?! - Page 2 519823 (Lisa we need an olive branch smiley for when I inadvertently screw up)

I remember hearing something like this when hannah was a baby.
I think it was if your on certain benefits or a low income then you could rent out a stair gate for £5 and hand it back to them when you are finished with it. but I cant remember anything about having it fitted.

it is a good idea if people have the right attitude about it and not "oh the council will do it, why should I bother"
