| to those who have experienced it and returned to microsoft for fixing ,, how do you go about it i know they send a courier and return it and i have to box it but is it normal microsoft number i call ?? i have also taken out insurance with currys when i bought it but not sure where the details are, if i called currys with my name and address etc woulfd they be able to help me ? ! i really need to find a safe place for all my documents ! |

| michelle you do it online at xbox.com, they collect it and its sent off to germany, you usually get them back in 1-2 weeks. |

| If its still under warranty with Curry's i'd go through them. If you go through microsoft you'll get a reconditioned one back.
It happened to OH a few years back and I thinks he went on the Microsoft/Xbox web site and they emailed this barcode thing to attatch to the parcel etc |

| zee i pay insurance every month from currys ( only about a quid ) , was told would prob be easier than going through microsoft thanks guys but turns out my son is an eejit,, yes it was all the rings but turns out the extra fan we bought that plugs into the back is what has died a death , now thats unplugged its bakc to normal |
