My intial reaction was also wtf! Crying for days on end my eye, admittedly that is not a good place to put a child for a game of hide and seek but I very much doubt the child was that traumatised. 17 months old? He has probs forgotten all about it now and wondering what all the fuss is about!!! Think she was trying it on for more compo than a return flight refund tbh!!!!!

Oops - better stop sticking my two in the wardrobe to play peekabo then - don't want them to suffer from anxiety What a fluffing drama queen! I would have applauded him for it - 10 seconds of peace and quiet - thankyou very much! They should install straps in overhead lockers especially to put toddlers in there - top idea! xx

How many of us have put our kids in a box for fun..or played hide and seek and stuck them in a closet? FFS..Madisyn would hide in my giant suitcase or her trunk...I think the flight attendant was being sweet..and trying to occupy the child..not hurt or harm. I think the whole thing is about intent..he defo wasn't trying to inflict any trauma on the child. I would like to know how the child responded..was he giggling..laughing? I bet he was! xxx

I have to say I read alot of the replies before I read the article, but when I did read it I had mixed emotions. Putting YOUR child in a wardrobe they are familiar with or a box is one thing, but a stranger putting your child in an aeroplane locker! Sorry but to me that's a step too far. Don't get me wrong, I applaude the guy for playing games with the toddler and it says his dad was nearby, but somewhere unfamiliar and dark...I too would like to know what the boy's reaction was because it's things like this that can be the trigger to deep rooted fears later on in life.
