so i have decided i don't like the colour i dyed my hair, it's too dark....is there any way to lighten it without completely knackering it? i am not quite ready to go down the powder bleach/liquid peroxide route just yet...

oo there is that new stuff out. i know superdrug do it. its about 11quid but its not bleach.. but that takes dye out x

hahaha errr well originally it was dyed sort of ginger but a bit darker...auburney over light brown, and i thought hmm i want it darker than that so i went for it - i KNEW it would end up reddy/purply though cos my hair always grabs red and won't let go boooooooooo

so it's not awful, it's just the sunshine today made me feel like having light hair again! not sure my hair can take being stripped it's been a few weeks and its recovered pretty well though cos it wasn't dyed before that for about 18 months.

oooh pixel how come you have a voucher?? i was looking at perth college they do really cheap hairdos!

If you go to a college hun make sure you dont let a level 3 or below cut your hair, and be prepared to maybe be there a while, they do take a lot longer to do cuts/colours etc.

hee hee, just thought id warn, i made mistake a few times of going in after work (work in a college) and ended up being there till 9 at night before they even started drying my hair x

why don't you get a few highlights to brighten it, mine was dark brown, ive just had it done today and its quite light now.

hmm maybe too much upkeep?! i am being quietly amused by the 'colour B4' reviews on boots...haha seems completely hit or miss!

I read the reviews on boots too before I bought it. I think it's only good if you're planning on dying it another colour after it

my hairdresser left so the salon sent me a 50% voucher to keep my business! fortunately I got me hair cut just before she left so I got her business card and can get cheaper homers now but I thought I'd use the voucher for a colour since I don't need it cut

haha! hmph i didn't get a voucher when my hairdresser left...but then i don't think i've had my hair cut more than once since then and not dyed so..probably not worth their time keep it, i have almost decided to use the colour b4 because im so curious as to what it will do
