you would take a break from ttc to avoid due date clashing with something? I got AF this week, 1st one since stopping pill in dec/jan. I was seriously considering ttc/charting and then it dawned on me that my EDD would be 15th Dec and baby could end up being born xmas day. So I dont think I will this month (wouldnt want to miss seeing Caitlin open presents etc). Then i started thinking if I tried next month EDD would be 15th Jan so then if I went cpl weeks early it would still be an xmas/new year baby... plus with the snow last Jan & Stuart not driving getting to hopsital may be hard if we relying on family. So now do I wait until April and try for a Feb EDD? I know alot of people would be grateful for a baby at anytime of year, and so would I (Im only thinking in an ideal world type thing if you could pick conception dates...) Is there any month you wouldnt want to be due? Eg xmas? Heat of Summer? Coincides with a mc etc?

I think it is quite normal tbh. As wonderful as it is to be pregnant, when you have got another baby to already think of and other things happening in your life, sometimes it isnt the right month to ttc. We are thinking of another one and I keep umming and ah'ing over when to. I have got so much coming up this year (banda night out, take that concert, holiday to Devon, Debs' wedding), that if we dont just do it, then it wont happen. Although I am tempted to hold off until after the banda night out. x

Good question! Obviously a baby is welcome at any time of the year, but i think i would be the same when i ttc a bro/sis for paige Personally i would try to avoid an August baby again, firstly cos of the heat (although i guess this isnt always a problem in nw lol) and secondly because i kinda feel sorry for Paige that she will always be youngest in her school year etc (she was born 26/8 im a sept baby) silly reasons i know x

Its weird too me that August babies are young in England! Im from NI and Caitlin (like me) is a July Bday and will be the oldest in her year. Our intakes are 1st july-30th June if you get me. Caitlin will actually start school the year after paige even though she's a month older! Caitlin will start primary when she 5years 2months in Sept 14!

haha i was thinking that starting to ttc in september again would be good - elijah's birthday is at the end of may so it's risking them being close (if we are efficient as last time ) but i would rather a spring baby than a winter one......and definitely not an autumn one, being heavily pregnant over summer - yuck!! so i reckon spring is the way to go, just temperaturewise, cos then they aren't too tiny in the summer but getting up all night is a bit less painful (having said all that, if we did start ttc at the end of summer and it didn't happen quickly i probably wouldn't stop over winter )

i didnt know that about NI snoopy, it does seem odd when you explain it like that especially with my lo being younger than yours it doesnt bother me development wise i just think of my neices n nephews going and the aug kids being so much smaller and looked unready for school compared to the older ones, Paige should blend in with the older 1s though cos she is quite tall like mummy and daddy so if we do have another lo in aug chances are he/she would have the tall gene too x

Mari it def was easier (I imagine as I have nothing to compare it with lol) getting up with a newborn in july/Aug/Sept than it would be in the depths of winter! Rach I think they all kind of catch up by 4/5. I have a friend who's LO was born in May last year and we do playdates. There is 10months beween Alexander & Caitlin and seeing them now (him lying on floor nearly immobile & Caitlin running/climbing/talking), its weird to think they could end up in the same class at school!

Snoops, I was delighted to be expecting a September baby as if it was a boy, statistics (and experience) shows that September boys progress well in junior football as the FA work in school years and at u7 sep boys can be quite a bit physically stronger. Anyway I had a girl (who I will push into footy anyway and she's already kicking quite well) lol but in all honesty it doesn't matter when they're born. My eldest is a July baby and she was one of the youngest and there was a difference in her and the sep/oct babies when she started school but she soon caught up and after a couple of years that gap had gone. I also have an April baby, that was lovely because it was spring and the early morning feeds were nice as it was light. My sis was born on Christmas day, she loves it as it's always a special day (to be honest I think her and my mum think she is Jesus) buts another story. I can't think of a bad time, even July/august babies have their advantages as you get them off to school early!

If we hadn't got pregnant when we did we weren't going to try this month and next because I didn't want a christmas baby for many reasons. There's a strong possibility I might have to have another c section and I didn't want to be recovering at Christmas especially. Saying that, it would have been very difficult to stop 'trying' xxx

I wouldn't want a baby to be born too close to Tylers birthday but tbh that wouldn't stop me TTC (well it hasn't and if I was pg now it would be close to Tylers bday) I wouldnt want a newborn in August because it is far too hot here but then it doesn't matter I have air con and I wouldn't be going out with a newborn anyway so... no... doesn't matter to me

TBH no I wouldnt put off TTC. We tried for 2 years with Libby and at that point I couldnt of cared less what month she came I just wanted to be a mummy. In saying that though I am pleased that this one is due in the spring - but then we weren't actually TTC xxx

In an ideal world I'd like to have one in the warmer months, because it's easier to plan birthday parties if you can go outside! I wouldn't not ttc though because of a specific date x

Planning the 2nd, I was going to hold off till this coming autumn so as not to have another winter baby like Oliver. Olivers birthday is 2wks before xmas so winter is a very expensive time of year for us and didn't want to steel Olivers 'birthday thunder'. I'd discussed this with my friend who had been trying for a baby for years before getting caught with her LO, and has been ttc since (2yrs+). Then over xmas it got me thinking and thought frig it - I thought i'd get caught straight away (like I did with Oliver) so at least we'd have a couple of months between birthdays. No BFP yet, but if we get caught this month we'll have another December birthday But hayhoo

Obviously I would love a baby no matter what but in an ideal world I would like to avoid having a baby in the hottest months of the year (july/august) as I really dont like the heat. Plus Ive always dreamt of having a winter/spring baby so I can wrap my little one up nice and snug
