| My laptop is years old now and I'm thinking of replacing it, but don't know what with
The options are a new laptop, a netbook or a tablet
I mainly use it for browsing the internet, uploading photos and the odd bit of admin/paperwork stuff. I'm impatient so want something that is reasonably fast, has a SD/memory card slot, wifi and maybe bluetooth too.
Any recommendations and what would you go for? |

| If you dont do much admin, then I would be tempted towards a tablet. Can you get Word, etc. on those? x |

| I just got a netbook for at home as i mainly use it for internet, email, itunes and photos. I am really pleased with it and love the fact it is so light so can easily sit with it on lap or on arm of sofa! |

| I've just got a little HP laptop. I went for a laptop as the tablets are a little dear and I like to have a keyboard, my mum's notebook looked a little small and dear me is it slow (her's is a cheapy though!). This is the one I got only the one in the link has a memory card slot. I didn't need it so got one without for a bit cheaper.

If you search it you may find it cheaper still x |

| If you are doing admin on it too i would go with a laptop... Personally I find netbooks annoyingly small and tablets are great for internet surfing but none of the other things as they dont normally have much storage on them. Your best bet would be to go somewhere like PC world and have a play with them all and note down any models and come online to have a look for best deal. We got my step daughters laptop from Ebuyer they are normally reasonably priced |

| Thanks ladies, I've looked at the Sony Viao one Kelly, is it good? We have a PC that I can use to do my office bits and I have a work laptop too and Matt has an Ipad, I've just read that back and why do I need a new one, lol I think I'll stick with a laptop, I like the idea of getting a tablet, especially the ipad 2 just to wind up Matt, but I don't really need it and I think I'd miss my keyboard |

| Could not recommend it more. It's brilliant. Simply and easy to use and it has short cur buttons at the top. Memory is good though can't remember which one I have. Mine cost £700 and just love it |
