| Do you think it's cheeky that I ask people not to buy the boys Easter eggs? And maybe get them something else? It's just that I won't give them chocolate and me and oh would just end up eating them |

| I don't think it's cheeky at all. What's the point in them wasting money on something that's not going to be 'used' by the boys. I'm sure they'd rather spend it on something they will use x |

Lisa, you're a girl after my own heart!! hee! Amanda, i would just say to those people who you think would be buying the boys eggs, " I don't mean to be cheeky but would you mind not buying them eggs etc etc" and I would have thought they would understand. If someone said it to me I wouldn't think they were being cheeky and would respect their wishes. |

| I wouldnt be offended if someone asked me not to buy them chocolate I would however mention it sooner rather than later so people dont buy them then get told. Me and my friends have bought the LO's books rather than eggs for easter as they have been too young for chocolate really, perhaps this is something you could suggest as its prob around the same price as an egg? My 2 won't get eggs off family for easter as they are too far away, so we will be buying them an egg this year. They will get one off us and i think this is enough at their age, it will probably last AGES anyways!! This year will be great as Andrew will be able to understand the easter bunny concept! Will explain why we celebrate it next year as i dont think he will get it this year. I love the fact that it is all magical when they are small! |

| I would ask them not buy Easter eggs but I wouldn't ask for something else instead.
My sis always asks me not to them for her girls because they get too many, it's not cheeky at all I completely understand.
But like lisa, I would never never never ever say it as in my opinion you can never have too much chocolate xxx |

| My family used to send me and my sisters money for Easter.. only a few quid so the same they would have spen on an egg, and that way we could get what we wanted... or put it in our piggy banks for something special. |

| No I dont think so. I am goin to ask with the girls, or like you say I end up eating them... dont mind but I shouldnt!! hehe Plus I find easter eggs so expensive now Id rather vouchers (what my mum does) tthan eggs or little presents. not cuddly toys grr I have far too many cuddly chickens drive me mad!! What I do for my friends LOs instead of an egg, I make or buy baskets and put in handful of little eggs (brain not working this morn cant think what they are called argh you know what I mean!!) job done. xx |

Nope! I let both mine have a little choc every few days. Like others have said - christmas choc lasted AGES and Hannah still has a few buttons from Christmas left. I think by restricting things like choc, cake, icecream etc you risk them going mad for it when they eventually get their hands on it. So long as they have a balanced diet I don't think chocolate is all that bad really. I know a few people would be shocked that I give my 9 month old choc too but she would pinch it off Thomas anyway and I can't bring myself to give one without the other tbh - they eat the same food now so they get the same treats. I wouldn't personally ask people not to buy easter eggs, we only get for nieces and nephews and its just a token gift, we get the £1 ones out of ASDA for everybody. We have A LOT of nieces and nephews so it would cost us a lot of money if we were asked to get gifts instead as you can't get much for £1 these days so you would end up spending about £5 each probably. We just couldn't afford it. xx xx |

| You're not cheeky asking them not to buy, but I wouldn't ask them to buy something else instead, if they then decide to that's up to them. I always feel like an awful mother when I see so many of you saying you don't let your LO's have choc. I let Chloe eat a bit of everything and that includes chocolate. I believe in everything in moderation and chocolate is so yummy why should i deprive her of a little of something nice. |

| I don't see the harm in the kids having eggs.... they are not like us and have to eat it all in one day My boys get around 5 or 6 eggs each and they eat them over 2/3 weeks +. I however would eat them in one sitting. I do think its a bit rude to out rightly ask them to buy something else.. an egg is £1.. they couldn't buy a toy or clothes for that price.. and the whole egg thing is part of Easter.. |

| I will ask them not to buy but I won't ask for a replacement present. I wouldn't mind them having a Little taste of choc but certainly not to eat a full egg even over a few weeks. I am so paranoid over their teeth after me having so many problems with mine. |
