ok so atm ive got sky tv and ive got the full tv package plus hd and im paying £50 a month.I rang to cancel my hd as we never even watch the hd channels but theyve said ive gotta wait a year before i can cancel is (its £10 a month just for hd!) Also i think i might have to cancel the movies as thats £15 a month.

Do u think if i ring up and say im going to leave they could sort summat for me?

Also atm i use a dongle for the laptop but its ridiculously slow and only works in some positions so im thinking of getting broadband in? Would you recommend going through sky? How much do u pay and who are u with? I would need unlimited internet i think for the amount of time i spend on it!!

Thanks ladies x

if you have signed a contract they will make you pay back how much you owe til the end of the contract (i.e if you have 12 months left at £10 a month you need to pay them £120 to leave).......i like virgin as a broadband/tv/phone provider, their deals are ok and generally they are alright and fairly good customer service-wise (touch wood)

I've got my broadband with sky but I've got free evening and weekend calls with them too so it makes it cheaper. I pay £7.50 a month for unlimited internet but I think if you don't have calls with them then it's £12.50 xxx

I'm with Sky and have the lot:
Line rental & telephone (free eve and wkend calls)
Sky TV and a few of the packages ie; docu's, kids, music blah blah! (don't have sport or movies any more as its not used in this house)
Unlimited internet (both me and OH use it a lot for xbox live and sky player via Xbox)
We have Sky HD and Sky multi room. We only got the HD because it was on offer if we got the multi room. But we signed into it for a year so that will be cancelled when the yrs up.
Anyhoo total is just under £60p/m
We don't have cable in our area and BT are shite round here and I didn't like the whole BT vision thingy

We were with Sky, but left to have Virgin HD.

We have just downgraded our package as it wasnt worth it for HD and we also had multi room.
